The same three words have constantly been echoing in my head: “Maxim killed Rebecca”. Over and over and over. It just never stops. They changed my life. Those words made that vile, manipulative woman finally disappear.

I felt an unusual sensation as we entered the gate of Manderley. It was a mixture of nostalgia and relief. Too much time has passed since I have last seen the vast, winding drive leading to the mansion. Not until now did I realize how much I longed to once more, see those distinctly red rhododendrons.
