at sea. His crew hard at work steering and maintaining the great ship. Most of the heavy lifting being undertaken by the colossal Fezzik.
“Ho! Captain Roberts!” A crew member dashed towards the captain in black. “The spotter says he sees a ship through the spyglass! Says it’s comin’ right for us!”
“What flag is it waving?” Roberts, or as he’s normally known as, questioned without so much a hint of worry.
“One of the Royal Navy. Belonging to Humperdink.”
“We all know the drill, don’t we? Get to your station, prepare for battle!” The captain drew his trusty sword, making his way around the deck, yelling commands over the crashing wakes. Fezzik pushed cannons into place with ease while the other pirates began loading them. Several minutes later and the oncoming ship was in sight. The Revenge turning in the water till its side directly faced the front of the royal ship.
“Fire!” Inigo shouted. With an explosion of sound, the cannons let loose. Wood splintered upon the targeted boat, sailors yelled in triumph as they loaded their guns once more.
At the other side of the conflict, screams erupted from the deck. Sailors of the royal navy making frantic attempts to recover from the initial blast. The captain yanking a spyglass from the hands of his first mate to catch a glimpse at the pirate ship. One look sent chills down his spine. The rumored black garb of the Dread Pirate Roberts. Through stuttering words he managed to give orders to his men, trying work up the confidence to face such a legendary
foe.
As the Revenge grew closer, the royal ship torn nearly asunder by cannon fire, ropes were cast across the water and planks were lowered. The boarding party drew their swords and charged the enemy deck with a battle cry. Inigo joined them in the battle, cutting men down with his sword like lightning. He figured this to be the perfect opportunity to remind the prince how he should still yet fear the Dread Pirate Roberts.
