Creative Writing: The Saga Of Old Geo
The saga of old Geo. Ochenski continues. As Geo. sat on his rock, watching the Cadillac, getting smaller and smaller, until it was just a dot on the horizon before it disappeared over the hilltop. He sat there for some time, with his head in his hands. Contemplating, about what the elderly gentleman had said. As wheels of the mind began to turn the gears of thought, 'old Geo could almost hear them groan' from lack of usage. Suddenly the old 25 watt incandescent light bulb, lite up. Somewhere in the dark shadowy corners of his mind, stirred an almost unheard of phenomenal, reasoning was taking place. In panic Geo almost shelved it in disbelief. Slowly, oh so very slowly it came to the front of his mind. But, in the dim light of the 25 watt bulb, Geo was unable to understand it. Geo shook his head, in an effort to clear it. But, as with most things, Geo tried to do, it ended in failure. In shaking his head, Geo had accidentally turned on, the other 25 watt bulb on the right side of his brain, which he almost never used. As the light became brighter, Geo was slowly able to make out the printing in bold red, black and blue crayon, the words on the jello (sic) paper he was holding. It said, in bold …show more content…
Bernie's revolution, that's what I will do, I will join Bernie and his revolution. Somewhere he had heard of a poll, taken in Montana, where oh where was that? Now I remember, it was in Helena. What did it say, yeah it said, 652 votes for Bernie, 390 for Trump and 325 for Hillary. {what Geo didn't know, of those 652 voters, 250 would stay at home or forget. 30 on second thought would vote for Trump. Of the 325 voters who say they are for Hillary. 25 will stay home and 32 will vote for Trump and the other 268 will hold their noses and vote for Hill. The vote in Helena will end up 372 for Bernie, 268 for Hillary and 452 for Trump.} And in the general it will be... more in the next episode of the saga of Geo

My division was stationed in Normandy, France, at the time of the Allied invasion on June 6, 1944. Toward the end of August or early September, Canadian troops captured me near Dieppe.10 I was with a small group of men who were cut off from our main company and overrun by motorized Allied units. For several days we wandered around searching for our unit, until one night we strayed into a field camp of Canadian soldiers. You can well imagine the astonishment all around when we suddenly appeared in their midst. The Canadians didn’t have a guard posted. This was probably better for all because otherwise we might have exchanged gunfire. Instead, we peacefully turned over our weapons and in return received cigarettes.…

The road is very messy. There are big rocks guarding the road. Sticks and broken wagon pieces are getting stuck in the wagons. On top of that, everyone is getting sick and have no energy to move the wagon and walk up the steep hill and walking through the narrow paths are hard because we can't walk on the side to hold the wagon up. The oxen are getting too tired to walk anywhere and the other families with mules keep stopping and that makes us run behind on schedule. Many people are dying because they have worked too much and haven't gotten enough sleep. When we…

Exploring Lima was lucky for all of us. All of the journeys can take 100 miles a day which is a lot of time waste. I had to punish one of my crew members because he was no help to all of us so I had to beat him up which wasn’t pretty because I really didn’t want to do this. We do eat a lot of food a day like about 3,000 calories a day because our food that we eat. We eat stuff like a pound of salted beef or pork, a pound of biscuits, 1 gal of ale, and dried beans, peas, or rice. Fighting temptation describes a battle that is as much spiritual as it is emotional or physical. To be tempted is not a sin. Everyone is tempted and at different levels. Even Jesus was tempted! Temptation happens when the opportunity is presented to do what we know is wrong, whether against God, ourselves, or others. Being tempted is not wrong - it's the decision to do wrong and the corresponding action that follows.…

History has evolved over the last two centuries. In the introduction to Interpretations of American History edited by Francis G. Couvares, et al., he states that the transition of the way history was interpreted has only “linked the past more strongly to the present” (Couvares 1). Before, historians –mostly white male- used to report only about “male” topics but since then, different issues have transformed the way history used to be. Over the last 400 years, the four different stages that have reshaped the writing of American history have been the providential, the rationalist, the nationalist, and the professional.…

I didn’t expect myself to like history. Sure, I enjoyed reading historical fiction novels, but I found history class drab and repetitive. The only thing that really stuck with me was Christopher Columbus. At the prime age of thirteen, I had stubbornly made up my mind that I would pursue a medical field, and that I would contribute to the ongoing goal of eradicating cancer.…

In a galaxy far, far away, there’s a colony of blue, short, chubby aliens called the Boovians. The Boovians are a peaceful colony that farm and trade goods to survive. Sadly, they are being threatened by a wizard alien named Fuldrik, who was banned from his previous planet because of his magic. Fuldrik found a way to “improve” his previous colony with a dark spell called, Brackish. This spell could give you the strength of ten men but would turn your skin green and bumpy. Your hands and feet would become scaly and rough. Your nails would grow sharp and turn yellow. This spell would also make your body smelling like garlic. Fuldriks previous colony despised his idea and banished him from his home planet, for he should never return until the…

The wind howled through the woods. The trees violently swayed, threatening to topple with ever shudder. The rain tore through the night, drenching everything in it's path.
