Another Change is Upon Us.
I’m sure it’s no surprise, as we are the creators and receivers of change and have become intimately familiar with the cycle. Change has been the only constant for our team. So here we go again.
Before I take off to enjoy the pristine beaches of Turks and Caicos, I want to share some thoughts with you about the characteristics and values I’ve admired about this team:
High achievement – You all have a need to achieve. You operate with initiative and take calculated risks that are challenging yet obtainable. Please don’t forget to reward yourself for doing a great job. Take time to reflect on the ongoing and positive impact of your work as it will help you expand upon those successes.
Problem solvers - We create sustainable solutions. We are one of the most influential teams in our organization because we know what we’re doing. We speak with conviction and we carry that confidence into every meeting, task, debate, and formidable solution/deliverable. Please remember to reinforce that confidence which comes through knowledge and support. We learn from one another to promote and strengthen hard work, cultivate our talents and contribute to a healthy cycle.
Focused determination - You may recall when we were in the closing phase of the International Retail Transaction project and everything had come down to the wire. We’d invested months of work, held several training sessions in the field, conducted interviews, gathered data, and run countless analyses, and the final implementation of the new system was in the hands of the IT group. As we shared our concerns and anxieties with one another, we continued to meet with stakeholders about the small delays, reassuring them that we were wholly determined to launch the retail new system.
