There have been many efforts to stop crime in our country and in our neighbor countries like Mexico where we have tried for many years to slow down until extinction the flow of drugs coming in the country but, it seems to get even stronger every day. When we talk crime in society the main issues are our children being harmed, women been victimized, white collar crime, drug dealing, shooting, rapes, assaults, murders. The increasing crimes have been our issue all along these years and we haven’t stop it from occurring. Many have been the efforts to stop crime, increasing security at all levels in our society like surveillance at airports, stores, markets and even schools but, none of it has changed the criminals mind when it comes to offending or reoffending. I sincerely believe that the real issue start within our houses walls; parenting one on one should be thought to all adults or young people who are planning to have children. Some people are damaged since day one of their life but, the parents should be responsible for teaching them how to be useful to society and not destroy what others have constructed with sacrifice and hard work. Having a useful son/daughter who is being successful at life is one of every parent dreams. The environment where we are raised also teaches us how to behave to adapt for survival. Today we see many adolescents who don’t show…

Law is a set of rules and regulation prescribed by the administration in justice. The first and the foremost objective of law are welfare and betterment of society i.e. in easy words we can say that provide justice to a common man. In today’s era Change is constant, this is evident as the time is changing and so is the law in the form of amendment. But even in the new phase of legislations the “criminal justice system” of India is yet to improve. The biggest obstacle is that, we have very old substantive and procedural laws for the criminal justice system. The Indian Penal Code is of 1860; with the passage of time the conditions are changing. Before Indian Independence there were some moral values existed in the society but since the times are changing, the…
The laws should be purposeful, public welfare oriented, unambiguous and practicable and made in an autocratic manner without due consideration for social welfare are liable to degenerate into an engine of oppression. The Ambiguity or uncertainty in criminal law not only causes inconvenience and irritation to the people but may also create traumatic conditions for a man if the law enforcing agency resorts to arrest or detain him, or seize his property, under the pretext of a legal provision interpreted contrary to its spirit. CRIMINAL SCENARIO IN INDIA- ‘Criminal justice system’ refers to the structure, functions, and decision processes of agencies that deal with the crime prevention, investigation, prosecution, and punishment and correction criminal justice system.…
The criminal justice system is identified as an important aspect of our society and enforcing laws that help develop the well being of our nation. One would say the criminal justice system is not implemented to arrest, prosecute or punish criminals, however it is there to prevent crime and form a peaceful, law abiding society. In doing this there would have to be a balance with criminal justice and the rights of the individual accused with society’s need for order. The extent of the efficiency of the juvenile justice system, media’s influence over juveniles and their impact on society's need for order and the possible solutions to the problems arising from these systems, need to be changed in order to reduce the high rate of youth crime. In…
There could be different reasons of increasing crimes. One of the obvious reasons is poverty and social injustice. Most of the people engaged in crime either don’t have proper source of income or they are socially discriminated. So the main reason of crime is poverty and social injustice. Most of the places with high poverty and social injustice have high crime rate (Jerry, 1995). The most important policy implications that would be most successful in reducing crime and/or rehabilitating convicted offenders in long term are critical criminology theories. In critical criminology crimes are defined in terms of domination. That is if some class or group is dominant than they can make social concept lawful and unlawful. Lower class, single parent women, poor people and minorities mainly suffer due to domination factor by others (Hopkin, 2001).…

In the modern world there are many issues that have emerged. The poverty levels have risen up and as a result the crime rate has gone up significantly. The moral values that existed in the communities have slowly eroded and this has continuously led to a moral rot. This has provoked individuals to commit crimes without fear. The institutions that are responsible for conabt9ing crimes have also relaxed in their work…
This composition will look at crime and its different criminological interpretations. Crime is an umbrella word which covers a diverse range of issues and is dependant upon the theoretical stand point of the writer. Although the wordings of the explanations differ, the implications are consistent (Newburn, 2007. Doherty, 2005). Mclaughlin et al (2006) seems the most relevant for the purpose. They separate crime into three key constituent parts. These are harm, social agreement and the official societal reaction. There are different theoretical interpretations of crime. The product of culturally-bounded social interaction is crime; which is the violation of the social contract (Newburn, 2007. Young, 1995). Societal responses are different dependant upon the society. Theft in the UK may result in caution or non-custodial sentence for a first offence; whereas in Saudi Arabia the offender would lose a hand.…
Crime control and prevention have become more of an imperative subject in criminology and crime control policies. While many people today consider crime control as an adaptation of crimes depicted through television and social media, the individuals who comprehend the more extensive perspective of controlling criminal activities see a considerably bigger issue. With this, it leads to there being a great amount of false impressions about which crimes are contributing to the complication of society today.…

First and foremost, parents at this time being more and more concentrate to their careers. They are too busy with their works so that they spend all their time on their career. Moreover, they did not realize that spend time with their children is much more essential than buy whatever their children want. Thus, teenagers nowadays wish for love and attention from their parents, not money. The children who fall preys to crimes normally have parents that have enourmous career. This is because their parents have no time to spend with them and did not instil any good moral values in them still young. For instance, we can see some of parents whom works as teachers have too much programmes and activities in their school. It can be said that almost of their time were spent on their works, like teaching their students at school time, and having extra class after school time and also tuition in afternoon and night. This case leads to negligence towards…
