Occupational crime and organizational crime.
2. What are three of the four types of occupational crime? Describe each type.
Individual: Stealing company equipment to gain profit.
Professional: A doctor over bills to gain profit.
Organizational: For the benefit of another.
3. What is pilferage? Why do people engage in this activity?
Pilferage is the theft of part of the contents of a package. It may also include theft of the contents but leaving the package.
4. What is organized crime? What typical activities are included in organized crime?
It is a term which categorizes transnational, national, or local groupings of highly centralized enterprises run by criminals who intend to engage in illegal activity, most commonly for monetary profit. Some activities that are included in organized crime are, money laundering, extortion, drug trafficking, executions, bribing people/corruption, etc.
5. What is a public order crime? Give at least one example of a public order crime in your answer.
Public order crime is a crime which involves acts that interfere with the operations of society and the ability of people to function efficiently. One example of a public order crime would be prostitution.
