ACT II
- Willy examines various visions. Driving off in his car Willy crashes against a wall in a frenzy of sound.
- Linda mourns the death of Willy
- A salesman is got to dream. But whether self destroyed or murdered by his civilization Willy is ready for the death so that his sons shall live happily with the insurance money of twenty thousand dollars.
Outline of the drama 'Death of a Salesman'
Driving to New England-his sales territory-Willy Loman-60- finds himself suffering amnesia. Terrified, he turns back and arrives home. Linda, his obedient wife tries to comfort him. But he is preoccupied with the thoughts of Biff and Happy. The brothers decide to settle down and get jobs. Meanwhile Charley comes over to play cards (best really) because he wants to help. Charley offers a job but Willy refuses. Willy begins to remember a visit from Ben. Ben offers Willy a chance to make a big fortune in Alaska.
Biff and Happy come down to speak to Linda. She says that Willy is always bad when Biff comes home. He dreams of the great future of his sons. Willy's belief that the important thing is not just liked but well-liked. The next day Willy goes to Howard to ask for a Travelling job. Howard denies his request and fires him. Willy asks Bernard why Biff did not succeed. Bernard says that the answer lies in Biff's behaviour because Biff failed in the Maths course.
Biff and Happy meet in a restaurant. They are to have a dinner with their father. Happy at once sets about picking up an
