Critical thinking to me is when you take the time out to evaluate a situation. You should try to take a second thought of what you are about to say or what you are about to do before you do it. Critical thinking to me also means to go in depth. Dig a little deeper inside of what you are dealing with. Look at it from all angles, top, bottom, left and right. When thinking critically you have to have an open mind so that you can evaluate the situation thoroughly. Edward Glaser an expert in the educational field defined this kind of thinking as the following: ability to think critically involves three things: an attitude of being disposed to consider in a thoughtful way the problems and subjects that come within the range of one’s experiences, knowledge of the methods of logical inquiry and reasoning, and some skill in applying those methods. It is important that we become critical thinkers and apply this thinking into our day to day life. So before jumping to any conclusions or assuming what you think may happen or what will happen, take a minute to explore all options and possibilities and keep an open mind before the decision is made.
