The American Government plays a large role in life each and every day. There are multiple pieces to the puzzle of government. However, it started with the founding fathers, they laid down the road of our government today. Each level of the government does something different for the functioning of society. When it comes to the government and every day they play a bigger role then one might think. While there are many important actions of government there are also some unnecessary which will be discussed. It is important to American’s understand the government, all of its branches and federalism.

For example, when someone gets in their car to go to work, they use their drivers license to get there from the state level. They may drive their car down a county or state road. Finally, arriving at their job working for anyone of these levels. When going shopping money that is coined is used. Every single day our lives are effected by the government in some way or another. The purpose of these actions is to keep America, states and then the communities within these states up and running. For example, some of the strange government funded research that is done, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars that could be going to research on diseases. On a different note, I think that more state and national decisions should be made locally as each community is very different. For example, gun laws in one area, let’s say in a rural area guns could be a part of everyday life but there are gun laws in place which don’t allow that. There are certain communities which may call for different actions then the entire state or country requires. So while the government should not stay out completely, it should just allow another level to take care of it.
Being an 18-year-old, no I do not believe people understand the importance of government especially in my age group. While many people have taken government classes I don’t think that they grasp how important it really is in their everyday lives. Many people do not understand how hard the government works( on a local level especially) to keep the community they are living in up and running so they can live a happy and healthy
