After looking at the numbers we decided to eliminate Rivaldo’s salary, we determined that the overhead expense allocations currently in place are not appropriate. The city field rent should be eliminated from the allocated costs as the soccer league will be renting the field regardless of whether or not the Craddock Cup occurs; it is a sunk cost. This also applies to the CYSL office rent and utilities, which will be used by the employees whether or not the tournament is held. We needed to revise the salary allocation, because we do not need to allocate Rivaldo’s salary to the Craddock Cup as it is not relevant. Thus, we only need to account for the $12,000 salary of Renee Jantsen, who works only on the Craddock Cup. Using that allocation method, our profit was $6,502 instead of the previously calculated $3,698 loss.…

The pricing model allows teams to used advanced software that captures the true value of a game ticket in real-time based on a variety of changing factors. While many teams have chosen to dynamically price their entire stadium, the Atlanta Braves implemented the model in 2012 on a trial basis, only dynamically pricing the Outfield Pavilion section. Based on primary market research data, MLB fans seem to be somewhat suspicious of the new model and its benefits. In this paper we will explain why the Braves should expand to all seats using DTP and an approach to educating fans to the benefits of this method of ticket sales.…

The major cause of the increase in breakeven quantities and sales, and the decrease of margin of safety is the sharp increase of fixed cost by nearly 50% in 2006 from 2004, relative to increase of sales tickets (QTY) by 30%. The nominal increase in ticket sales is significant but simply not enough to off set the greater increase in fixed costs. Furthermore, price of goods sold remained stagnant over the same period.…

I chose this question, because I really love to go to different concerts, especially pop concerts. I discovered that a lot of people prefer to buy standing tickets instead of seated tickets. At pop concerts there are just young people and they prefer to stand. They prefer standing tickets because they are cheaper than sitting tickets and they can save their money. This is because, according to economic theory, people want to save money as much as at possible and they will choose the cheapest tickets.…
