Cruel Intentions
Cruel Intentions is a 1999 American feature film (a film made for initial distribution in theaters) starring Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair.
The movie is a drama film based on the 18th century French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses (written by Laclos), but unlike other modern film versions of the novel (such as Dangerous Liaisons and Valmont), which are set in the France of that time, Cruel Intentions is set among the wealthy teens of modern-day New York society.

She is a manipulative girl. She’s as bad as him, and plays with boys. She doesn’t believe in love anymore, for her it is just a game. Actually this could be explained by the fact that her last love story didn’t end well and she has been rejected by him. Pain leads her to revenge, and uses Cecile to obtain it.

Until the very end of the movie she has the control of everything, even of her brother, but her secrets are revealed when Sebastian’s diary is read by everybody.

Annette is a young blond girl. The first thing we learn about her at the beginning of Cruel Intentions is that she’s virgin and that she wants to stay “pure” as long as she finds real love. Sebastian and his sister make fun of her, and he bets he will be able to sleep with her until the end of the summer. She’s the daughter of the new headmaster.

Actually Annette is the representations of the smart girl, whose beauty is equal to her intelligence and who does not trust in boys a lot (particularly in Sebastian). But during the movie, she falls in love and unexpected feelings uprise between her and Sebastian.
