Understand partnership working in services for children and young peoples

Explain why working in a partnership with others is important for children and young people
When working with children and young peoples it is important working in a partnership because it will help you learn more about the children individual’s personalities and what their individuals needs are. Working in a partnership will also help you to learn and know more about your own strengths and weakness are, it will also help all of the children’s that is within the nursery learn and develop their own skills and learn new skills for the future . Working in partnership with others is important for children and young peoples because it can increase efficiency in the delivery of services through better links between different providers and also to make work more effective.

When working with children and young peoples it is important to work in a partnership because it will help the children to interact with other children, to teach the children what is acceptable and what not acceptable behaviour. While working in a partnership you can provide a consistent care for all of the children and young peoples within the setting and to make sure that it is a safe and secure environment for all of the children. When working in a partnership it will improve the outcomes for all of the children’s and their families through access to a wider range of services.

Working in a partnership with other agencies such as social workers and SENCO (special educational needs co-ordinator) is important because then you and the other agencies Can provide the best quality of care for all of the children and their families. It is also important to work in a partnership with different agencies because it benefits the staff and services, such as less replication (copying or reproducing something) between different service providers.
