1. What is a focal point and what does it do?
a. Focal points are places in the retail setting where emphasis has been placed to attract the shopper.
b. It serves to attract shoppers into the store and then as a directional force that points them toward the displayed products.

a. It is a display figure set off the aisle. It is spotlighted from above will also serve to identify an idea and promote a particular piece of merchandise.

4. What is the difference between a counter, display case, and a museum cake?
a. Counter – major area for merchandise presentation and is truly the point of purchase
