History of the Food - The history of the food of the Philippines has been a wild roller coaster. Since the first war of the region of the Philippine Islands, the country has acquired many food contributions. The war between the Spanish brought many sweet aspects to the islands. For example, Leche Flan. Another contribution was when China invaded they brought over rice. Rice is one of the main staples of Filipino cuisine. The next invader was Indonesia. Their contribution to the Filipino cuisine is curry. Now curry is in almost everything; it is even in a traditional sauce served with lecheon (Roasted Pig), a mixture of peanut butter and curry. Finally the last country to take over was America. We brought over the one and only hot dog. Hot dog is the street vendor’s best seller since hot dog is processed it can be cooked in many ways.
Agriculture- Because of the geographical location on the planet, the Philippines has a "Tropical Rainforest Climate" all over the country. They eat a lot of seafood, meats, and rice. They do get some vegetables.
Street and Hotel Food - One food served in most hotel diners and
