Cultural Aspects Of Indian Culture
Culture has been stated as one of the biggest challenges for a successful offshore outsourcing. It is very difficult to understand specifically problems related to different cultural aspects. The cultural aspects can be understood either by reading research studies or first-hand observations and experiences. In this case, I understood the cultural impacts purely by experiences. Normally, western countries are more individualistic compared to cooperative culture in Latin America and Asia. According to Utkarsh Rai, author of “Offshoring Secrets” the following are the specific aspects of the Indian Culture: the compare and contrast culture, the workplace socialization practices, the importance of age and seniority, sensitivity to criticism and …show more content…
In those countries, still age and seniority is considered for promotions and recognitions in an organization despite the fact that there are others who does a good job. In exceptions, cast system also considered in some companies for opportunities and promotions in India. For example, as a parent organization, we conduct weekly meetings to verify new updates and to clarify doubts if they have any. The objective of the representative of the subsidiary based in India is to convey the message given by the process owners effectively. On the contrary, the representative is selected based upon the seniority level and sometimes cast basis to represent the meeting despite the fact that there are other people who have better communication and intellectual skills than the selected representative. This is not considered as problem in Asia but it is inherited from their culture.
These conflicts can be effectively managed by suggesting the existing representative to invite the one who has better intellectual skills (e.g. Process know-how and communication skills) to assist him while he suffers or struggles to respond or understand. In this way, we can avoid conflicts by making both the party happy and in return we get the desired result out of

What management etiquettes are learned during my training?
Management in each country has its own customs to be followed but when the enterprise is enlarged and sets his foot internationally then it should adapt the international management. In Renault, I had an excellent occasion to learn the international management approach in different ways.
5.1 Adaptability of different cultures:
Since Renault has its subsidiaries almost all around the world, it is evident that you should be in contact with different types of people from different countries and different cultures. For Example: My tutor of the organization is responsible for all accounting processes of France and all other European countries. Hence, as a trainee I followed her path and techniques of handling different people from different cultures. One could able to adapt the culture only when he/she is ready to accept the other culture. The difference between cyber bullying is different is because it can happen twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Some may be bullied when they are by themselves. There are many risks to cyber bullying, the worst one would be attempt of suicide because the victim might be confused and might not know how to ask for help. Usual they victim will turn to alcohol or drugs because they think that they can run away from their problems. They might start skipping school, and might not want to attend school because they might want to isolate themselves. That leads to low grade and a high chance of dropping out of high school. The victim might suffer from low self-esteem and all of these effects of cyber bully can cause health issues. In a report by the ABC News in 2006, a survey was conducted on 1500 students in the grades between 4-8 and gave the following findings.42% of the children had experienced some form of bullying while online. 35% of them had received threats while online.21percentage had received threatening and mean emails or other forms of messages. 58% of the kids admitted that they had received hurtful information while online while the most shocking statistic was that 58% of these kids did not tell any adult about the form of harassment they receive while online. This clearly shows that a very large number of teenagers are being involved in cyber bullying and their parents or teachers are not even aware.     I have two cultural background which are Cherokee Indian and African American . Cherokee is really pronounced as “CHAIR-uh-kee” in our language. Cherokee comes from a Muskogee word meaning ‘speakers of another language’. Cherokee Indians originally called themselves Aniyunwiya “the principal people,” but today they accept the named Cherokee. But in their language it is pronounced Tsadagi . The Cherokees are original residents of the American southeast region, particularly Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Most Cherokees were forced to move to Oklahoma in the 1800's along the Trail of Tears. The Cherokee Indians who survived this death still live in Oklahoma today. Some Cherokees escaped the Trail of Tears by hiding in the Appalachian hills or taking shelter with white neighbors. These people live scattered throughout the original Cherokee Indian homelands. Trail of Tears was the Cherokee name for what the Americans called Indian Removal. During the 1800's, the US government created an "Indian Territory" in Oklahoma and sent all the eastern Native American tribes to live there. Some tribes agreed to this plan with no problem. Other tribes didn't like this plan at all , and the American army forced them. The Cherokee tribe was one of the largest eastern tribes, and they didn't want to leave their homeland. The Cherokees were peaceful with the Americans. So they asked the Supreme Court for help. The judges decided the Cherokee Indians could stay in their homes. But the President, Andrew Jackson, sent the army to march the Cherokees to Oklahoma . They weren't prepared for the journey, and it was winter time. Thousands of Cherokee Indians died on the Trail of Tears. Many Native Americans from other tribes died too. It was a terrible time in history. There are three federally recognized Cherokee tribes: the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, the United Keetoowah Band in Oklahoma, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina.…
