In every society, it can be seen a rich and also different culture. The typical music and art will change according to the place that is visited. It can mutate from a country to the other, and even from a state or city to another. This variations can also be found according to the time that it is placed. As the societies change, the music and art can change either. Despite that, it doesn’t mean that one can’t enjoy, appreciate and respect the other. An example of this is when we consider the countries in America Latina, we already can notice the differences. They are not very distant, yet a country like Colômbia is very different from Brazil. There they have a lot of styles of music. The most famous are Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Reggaeton. Now here, in Brazil, we have Samba, MPB, Sertanejo, Funk, and so many others. In spite of that differences in styles, one can “talk” with each other and bland themselves. For example, the music Ginza whose the author is J. Balvin, a colombian singer of reggaeton, that, in this song, have associated with Anitta, a brazilian singer of funk. …show more content…
Still in Colômbia, when we talk about art, it can be many things.
The image that comes to our mind when we talk about colombian art is a colorful work. The hot colors in typical purses, produced by the native tribes, the handicrafts and the paintings with different lines and colors. As in Brazil, we can also see a colorful work, but with different lines and shades, most of the time, lass vived from the colombians ones. If we look closer, in Brazil, yet, we can see the variations in the culture according to the region and states we are in. In the states of Norte we can see craftwork made with clay like the “Cerâmica Marajoara”, that was produced by the injuns of Marajó. In Nordeste we can see a handwork compounded with “Renda”, that is a type of seam, and “cerâmica”, mostly represented by clay dolls that reconstitute typical figures, like
“Cangaceiros”. From one region to another we can notice variations in music either. The “Sertanejo” is very famous in Centro-Oeste and Sudeste, especially in Goias and São Paulo. The “Forró” is famous in all the Nordeste, but at Bahia, also a state at Nordeste, they have “Pelourinho”. At south, we have “Bugio”,”Venerão”,”Chamarrita”, beside the folk music. As we have seen to this point, music and art can be different according to the place we are in. But, we can also see some changes according to the variation of time, it can sometimes exclude the pass one, and sometimes keeps both, old style and the new one. An example of that in literature in Brazil is the period called “Barroco” that nowadays isn’t produced anymore. After this period came many others, like “Arcadismo”,”Parnasianismo”,”Romantismo” and ”Realismo”. But we can see styles from different times that coexist like “Pagode” that comes from “Samba”. Art and music are part of the culture and identity of a society. So if we change the society according to the place, or according to the time that we look, we will see different styles of art and music. This tipes can change in long-term period or short-term period, it will depend. They can also change in regions there are close or in distant regions. Despite of living in a context of globalization, the typical things of each place will still exist. And it is important to embrace that differences. Although something is different, it doesn’t mean that it is worse or batter than what we are used to. So respect is the keyword.
