ASSIGNMENT – CULTURAL DIFFERENCES

DUE 1:30 PM, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, ON T-SQUARE

This assignment is attended to provide you with an understanding of the impact of different cultures on doing business in foreign countries. You will explore cultural differences as they relate to communications, negotiations, greetings, business dress, business entertainment, and other topics. This assignment is worth 150 points towards your final course grade. Parts A and B are worth 25 points each. Part C is worth 100 points (5 points for each of the 20 questions).

The assignment must be submitted electronically via T-Square, and is due no later than 1:30 pm on Monday, September 9. If you are absent on September 9, the day that class discussion of the assignment is scheduled, and your absence is not a documented excused absence as defined above, you will receive zero points for this assignment, in addition to any penalty you might earn under the class attendance policy.

You may use any print or internet resource to research your answers; however, virtually all of the answers in Part C can be found at the Internet site www.executiveplanet.com. You should provide your answers on an electronic version of this document below each question, save the document to your hard drive, and then submit the document with your answers AND YOUR NAME ON THE FIRST PAGE, as an attachment on T-Square.
