In China, people are easy to settle, they are satisfy with what they have right now, it was also affected by old Chinese traditional, they accept what fate give to them and not question about it. American people like to challenge things they couldn’t do before, so they can learn a lot of things by trying over and over again and improve themselves.
In the U.S. people think Chinese don’t have freedom or human rights, I think the freedom and human rights are depend on the situation country in. For example, some people always complain about Chinese government. In my opinion, the government is just tool to make the country running well, there are 1.5 billion people in china the government can’t satisfy everybody’s needs, so what the government do is just do most the people want.
The Chinese looks more at the group collective than at individualism. America has become known for its push of individualism which has been a source of conflict with other cultures that look collectively. A person from China is more prone to look at how their acts affect the whole instead of how it affects them personally. They are more willing to give up and sacrifice for the greater good. America’s individualism has been its backbone.
Being sensitive to another person’s needs is very important in Chinese culture. It is expected that you will respect the other person and treat them well. Their needs are met at each encounter. Confucius said "Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself” and this is also a golden rule for all Chinese people.
