Cultural Differences Between United States and Ukraine
CULTURAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UNITED STATES AND UKRAINE

The United States of America is a country of many cultures mixed in one. The main reason for this is immigration. It has many religions, many languages spoken, and many ethnic beliefs. Some religions, languages or beliefs, may be more frequently spoken or believed then others, but in general the United States has a wide variety of culture. On the other hand, Ukraine, which is a country much smaller then the United States, has basically one culture which is a unique culture all in its own. They basically have one language, one religion, and one kind of belief system. These two countries vary from one another, at many different aspects of culture, but as much as they differ from one another there are some similarities between both countries.

The United States and Ukraine are very different in culture, probably because of the difference in location. The United States is in North America, which is in the northwestern hemisphere, and Ukraine is in southeastern Europe, which is mainly in the northeastern hemisphere. Both these countries have one particular language, which is mostly spoken throughout the land, but these languages very in both the United States and Ukraine. In Ukraine, the official language of the country is Ukrainian. Most of the people in that country speak Ukrainian, but there are some that speak different languages. One language that is spoken a lot in Ukraine is Russian. The main reason for this is because, while Ukraine was part of the USSR before it split up Russian was a frequent language spoken by the majority of the people in the USSR. After the break up of the USSR, Ukraine still had people speaking Russian. This is the reason why a lot of people know and speak Russian in Ukraine. As for the United States, there is no official language spoken. The majority of the people in the United States speak English, but since there is no official language, many languages are spoken.

The country had always been seen as being apart of the USSR, the Soviet Union. No Ukrainians could ever express their desperation for freedom from the Soviet Union. In a two year battle, Ukrainians fought against the Russians in Donbas, this signified Ukrainians working to achieve their goal of being a free country. The country’s national identity was not damaged or they weren’t seen as a bad country for wanting their freedom the Soviet Union. This wasn’t similar to another event that happened in the United States where the South wanted to succeed from the North, or the United States. The Soviet Union used propaganda that Vladimir Putin still had used towards the USSR. After other important events that occurred while Ukraine tried to leave the Soviet Union, they never knew how they’d do on their own as a “free”…
