One thing all Americans have in common is diversity. Having diversity causes Americans to work together and form a bond and treat everyone as they would like to be treated. We also have our freedom in common. Everyone has rights of speech, religion, press, etc. so everyone can define who they are and who we will become. Everyone has different ideas as to what being an American means, but to me it means that we have individuality, that we take pride on our country, and that we can be opportunists.…

America means diversity. The fact that there is not even an official language, reminds us that this country throughout history has been shaped by immigrants from all over the world. As consequence, diversity lead us to judge and have stereotypes. Like animals, we label consider fellow human beings as non-part of our group. When we think we do not belong to our group, we reject and trend to deny their conditions and human dignity. History is a cruel teacher that shows us how it has come to violent movements such as genocide, deaths, and the extermination of the ones considered different.…

The new era in business is facing with the globalization, and globalization brings diversity. Diversity is a very real aspect of the American’s culture. How does diversity impact individual behavior? According with Hung Ng (2005), “humans exist not only as unique individuals, but also as members of social groups that are formed on the basis of ethnicity, gender, age, and so for.” These dual aspects of the human being make people act different if they are among the people with the same background or not. Everyone can respect and adapt to a new culture, but not everyone is feeling the same comfort level when she/he is among people from a different background. For instance if a Hispanic coworker sees another Hispanic person come in to his/her workplace, automatically they start to speak Spanish. In the same way, if an American that is living oversea sees another American come to his/her way, they immediately start to speak in English. This happen because of the comfort level that the people feel when they are talking with somebody from the same background.…
