Cultural Differences In Middle School

I became aware of people being treated differently because of race, culture or religion back when I was in Elementary. I was in fourth grade when one of my classmates was treated different because she will dress differently from the rest of us. My classmates was from a religion that she was not allowed to wear jean pants or shorts, she was only allowed to wear long skirts that cover her legs. I noticed my classmates did not wanted to play with her because she will wear long skirts and we had one classmates that will tell us not to play because she dresses ugly. I will play with her and did not care if she wear long skirts, that’s when I noticed people were being treated differently because of their religion. When I started middle school
I also noticed that people were treated differently because of their race. I noticed students hanging out with their own race and did not talking to others if they were not part of the same race. I personality think we are aware on how individuals are being treated differently because of race, culture or religion when we start to interact with others.
