Vision statements should express the core the organization's beliefs and values and tells where it belongs in the world. They establish the direction of every aspect of an organization's daily operations.
I am providing information on the organization in which I work for, Cummins, named for Clessie Cummins. Cummins Power Generation’s a power leader and one of the world’s largest manufacturer of diesel engines. Cummins is headquartered in Columbus, Indiana where they serve customers in more than 160 countries through its network of 550 Company. Cummins is a global power leader that is known for manufacturing, selling and servicing diesel engines, power generation systems and related products and technologies.
Cummins is a diverse, community-minded technical leader in the design, manufacture, sale and service of diesel engines, power generation equipment and related components. We operate as four distinct, lines of business. Cummins is working on its journey toward excellence by defining and clearly stating their vision, mission and core values. Core Values are values in which an organization forms the foundation on based the employee’s performance. They are behavioral types that are used to evaluate an employee's adherence to company values, recognize the employee's strengths and address problems and opportunities for development.

By unleashing the Power of Cummins the company is making the lives of their customers better. Motivating people to act like owners working together has become the mission.
One of the expectations of the organization is to be first to market with the best products. Cummins believes in cleaner healthier, and safer environment in which they focus with the stakeholders.
