It has been reported numerous amounts of times that drones are getting near airplanes as said by many pilots. There was a total of 193 reports of this happening from February to November alone. Although the drones rarely impacted the outcome of the flight, some pilots reported having to alter the flight route in order to avoid the unmanned vehicles. These drones are making themselves more frequent in our lives today as well. They're becoming frequent from helping out surveying fields for farmers to getting aerial shots for photographers. Even civilians could buy a drone for their own purposes. Drones are also making their way into buisness with special warrants from the FAA. Drones could even be profitable with piloting jobs starting at $100,000 salary. http://money.cnn.com/2014/11/25/news/drone-pilot-degree/index.html?iid=EL
I think drones are becoming apart of our daily lives the more time progresses. I do not think that drones crashing into planes is going to be a really big threat. The flying machines are still relativley new so theirs bound to be things wrong with them. On the other hand however I do see how people could be worried about wether or not they are truely safe on airplanes. Overall I think that drones are a step in the right direction as long as they do not endanger people.
