I do believe that as I have been in administration I have seen more issues that face the real world of administration that has geared my philosophy to be based more on facts and data. However, I do believe that had I taken this test 10 years ago when I was teaching I believe I would have been stronger in “experimentalist” and even closer to an “existentialist”. I do see this as a move to be more centered in my

I on the other hand was one of Trustee, decisive in practical affairs, and a guardian of time honored institutions. My interviewee felt as if the test was somewhat accurate and that it lacked accuracy on how she believed she should of scored, she had a hard time believing that only a little over 13% of the population was indeed similar to her. She felt that with Christianity being as high as it was in the U.S. that more people should have been scored as to have the desire to help others in need and to mentor to them. I thought that the test was fairly accurate for me as I am very traditional in my thinking and decisive, but felt similar as I thought that more than 11% should be like…

The word ‘curriculum’ originates from the chariot tracks in Greece. In Latin ‘curriculum’ was a racing chariot; and ‘currere’ was to run. Therefore it was a course. ‘Curriculum is a body of knowledge-content and/or subjects. Education in this sense is the process by which these are transmitted or 'delivered' to students by the most effective methods that can be devised.’ (Blenkin et al 1992, pg 23). And so, curriculum is the activities that learners will undertake to achieve certain learning achievements and goals. The planning, learners experience and order in which it occurs are all part of the curriculum. There are a vast amount of elements that help shape a curriculum and there are many different strategies and approaches to the design and implementation of a curriculum. In both day opportunities and the training department of South Tyneside Council for whom I work, the curriculum is designed around the objectives set by my employer.…

David Perkins once said, “Assessment in this spirit does not concern assignment of grades or evaluation of whether instruction was effective. It’s assessment designed squarely to feed into the learning process and make the learning stronger” (Perkins, 2009, p. 83). I believe this quote fits in well with the week at hand. We discussed the types of assessments, the need, and the results. I have mixed emotions when it comes to testing, but definitely see the need for it to be done.…

I feel this test gave us a better understanding of ourselves and gives us a little more perspective of who we are as a person. This could also reminds us of some things we didn't really think about but feel they do apply to ourselves as well as help us define what we would like to change such as become more tolerant of people or not let criticism get the best of us. This test showed us a little of what other people applied to themselves and how we can accept people more and their strengths along with their…

I believe that my classroom management plan will work to provide my students with a safe and supportive learning environment in many different ways. My classroom management plan is supportive because it includes outside resources that not all classrooms might have. I have implemented a technology/digital center so the students are able to work on assignments in the class. I also have stations where the students are able to work in a group of four or a group of five with the teacher instructing them. My class room is safe for all students because there is enough space to get throughout the entire classroom without having things in the way. There is a nice flow of space.…

Self-determination in health care implies the patient’s right to make decisions on the type of health care they wish to receive provided their decisions are within legal boundaries. The law requires that patients making such decisions are fit and competent to make rational decisions. Although patients cannot exercise the right to self-determination when they become incapacitated, they can pre determine the type of health care they wish to receive in case they become unfit or incompetent to make their own health care decisions. The patients can make their wishes known to others or the doctor through a living will or authorize someone else to make the decisions for them through a durable power of attorney.…

With the introduction of market socialism, rural migrants are growing in China’s urban areas, like Bei Jing, Shang Hai and Guang Zhou. Due to frequent moves, poverty, pressures on parents, and related factors, children from these rural families are not achieving in China’s urban schools. While this problem is distinctive in many ways to the Chinese context, it also shares some “family-resembling” characteristics with the education of poor and minority students in American urban schools. In this essay, I first set forth similarities and differences between these two populations of student. Next, I indicate and analyze the leadership practices that are commonly advocated in the US context for helping these students to achieve in urban education, and finally, I discuss the some of the implication of such practices for the Chinese context.…
