“DONTTRUSTME” is an artistic masterpiece by pop duo 3OH!3. The song is about a girl who is labeled a “ho.” The majority of the definitions of the word “ho” are quite insulting and offensive, so for my analysis, I shall provide my own. A “ho” tends to be someone, a girl usually, who gets involved with many different guys with little to no commitment. This song is told from a guy’s perspective who meets a girl that he labels as a “ho,” he proceeds to say that he cannot trust her because she knows what a liar is like. She apparently makes guys trust her and has trust issues herself because she has seen how easily she can destroy relationships. This song analysis was originally supposed to be about Jack, the guy I previously had mentioned. Jack displays many of the characteristics of a “ho,” he is unable to stay in a healthy relationship because he does not believe that he deserves good in his life. He is also not someone you can trust. But, while I was reading through the lyrics of this song I realized that I can easily be put in the spot of the “ho.” I tend to get involved with many different guys because I am scared of commitment, I have seen relationships be destroyed by the smallest things which is why I stay away from anything long-term. Another reason why I have not gotten into a committed relationship is because I believe that no good guy will ever actually care for me that much.
