Dagger Scene Vs Macbeth
The story of Macbeth is a playwright written by William Shakespeare in 1606 in Varies locations in Scotland and briefly England. The tone of this book is very dark and ominous, back then they went by the saying “ Blood must have Blood” this says problems must be resolved by war you kill we have to kill, there was never peace. The film is to me very different than the playwright, you have to read the book before you watch the film. The film is very confusing, to me the way the movie was made it almost expected you to have read the book before watching the movie. The film was a simpler version of Macbeth, helped readers who quite couldnt understand the book itself some would say it's a modern version of Macbeth. The film to me is better than …show more content…
In the playwright the dagger is floating, whenever Macbeth tries to reach for it, it goes away. In the film there was a young man holding the dagger, he walked all the way to King Duncan room and Macbeth followed him, changing this scene was a good idea. A floating dagger would be more work to add in, a boy holding the dagger makes the viewers not know that Macbeth is hallucinating, this makes it more believable and better understanding. In the playwright it goes dagger scene, Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth, and then he kills King Duncan. The film has a different order, first Macbeth has conflict about whether to kill Duncan or not, then Lady Macbeth convinces him, and then he kills Duncan. The film switches the order around to make it make more sense, this helps the viewers to not be confused or it turns out to sound fine in the playwright but look weird in the film. Having Macbeth have seconds thoughts then Lady Macbeth come in and convince him it flows together than the playwright version. I like the film’s version of the dagger scene better, It not only flows better, it's more understandable, having the boy hold the dagger was a very good idea and turned out to look good, and it gives this scene more dramatic, intense, and gloomy …show more content…
The film was a easy way to understand the very difficult playwright, this is especially good for high school and readers who aren't a big reader. Changing the dagger scene was by far the smartest, that scene was well written but confusing in the playwright. Loved how the film changed the order to a less complex and backwards way of doing things. Also having a person holding the dagger instead of the playwright version of a floating dagger, the filmed changed many of the key events to help viewers have a better understanding of the story of Macbeth. The playwright of Macbeth can be confusing and a challenging view of the idea, many would think the playwright version of the dagger scene a bit weird, the film makes it a more modern concept. That's why I relate and agree that the film is a better version and more enjoyable view. The playwright was very hard to read to start off with, it not only was hard to understand but in the playwright I found myself confused on many things which led to a poor understanding of the

For my film analysis, I was fortunate that there many different adaptations of the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Most of them are set in the period of the play, like Roman Polanski’s 2002 version, which I also viewed and found to be disappointing at best. The only good thing was the realism of the sword fighting. Realistically clumsy in their armor, which was amusing, but other than that, dull, dull, dull. Instead, I opted to view and analyze the more modern version from 2006. The 2006 version of Macbeth was adapted by Geoffrey Wright and Victoria Hill, produced by the same team and also directed by Geoffrey Wright. Victoria Hill also happens to play the role of Lady Macbeth.…

Shakespeare presents Macbeth more extensively as a villain using methods which would be more understood in the era the play was composed, which was the Jacobean period, but influenced by the reign of Elizabeth. During the Elizabethan period people were preoccupied with the supernatural, which is one of the main topics in Shakespeare’s play. In my opinion Shakespeare structures the play to make the audience see Macbeth transforming from a hero into a villain, we can also see how Macbeth’s character transfigures from a valiant, noble soldier to a deceitful traitor.…

Macbeth is a Shakespearean tragedy, written between the years of 1599 and 1606. It tells the story of a Scottish general, known as Macbeth who receives a prophecy from three witches claiming that he will, someday, become king of Scotland. The play demonstrates two main themes through the desires of kingship and power Lady Macbeth has for Macbeth and the numerous murders committed by Macbeth in order to fulfill these and his own want for power. The two main themes of Macbeth include ‘the corrupting nature of unchecked ambition’ and ‘the relationship between cruelty and masculinity.’ The first and most common theme, ‘the corrupting nature of unchecked ambition,’ initially arises when Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth of his new title and how he is…

In Shakespeare's Macbeth hallucinations represent a psychological manifestation of the protagonist's remorse and delusions. Macbeth isn't the only character in the play who is manipulated and tricked by his own mind, lady macbeth also experiences apparitions. each hallucinatory vision comes as a result of both character's wrongdoing. In act two Macbeth has a vision of a dagger before he murders Duncan. This moment represents the first of many hallucinations and apparitions that will occur throughout the play. In this case the apparition reveals that Macbeth is experiencing remorse about killing Duncan. Review: Macbeth a visually striking period piece for the modern viewer We all wrote an essay about it in high school; Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” is so widely read that it’s surprising Justin Kurzel’s newest film is the first notable cinematic adaptation since Roman Polanski’s in 1971. Kurzel’s take on the Scottish play is a spectacle of haunting violence; he takes advantage of the cinematic medium and crafts a stunning aesthetic. As an adaptation, the film offers an imaginative reading of the familiar narrative of the eponymous Scottish general (Michael Fassbender, sure to draw a crowd at the box office) and his infamously manipulative wife (Marion Cotillard, art-house ace). However, in its attempts to be visually striking, much will seem to have…

Ever since he was told the prophecy he made sure that it came true for him since it would benefit him and he really wanted to be king. As the story progresses it shows how Macbeth is full of regret and guilt for what he did and becomes paranoid. As the story ends, it ends with Macbeth surrendering and Macduff had ended Macbeth’s reign of terror, purifying the land of what Macbeth had done.
