Daina Joseph Topic : Cyber Bullying INTODUCTION
Attention Getter: Cyber Bullying victims are 2 out of 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide. Cyber Bullying caused the death of a 13 year old girl named Megan Meier. Purpose: To inform my audience about Cyber Bullying. Importance to Audience: Cyber Bullying Happens every day and can cause others to lead to suicidal thoughts. You can gain something from this speech by being informed on how to stop Cyber Bullying or prevent it from happening. Thesis Statement: Cyber Bullying is when the internet or electronic devices are used to embarrass , torment, or threaten someone about something they have seen on social media or SMS messaging. Preview: I will discuss what Cyber Bullying is, how it effects people emotionally, and why it should be stopped.

1 First Main Point: Cyber Bullying is a type of bullying through social media. A Subpoint: Bullying affects people in many ways. When some people get bullied they laugh it off or don’t seem to take the situation seriously, but with others bullying has a MAJOR effect on them. A lot of teens have committed suicide because of being bullied. A Cyber Bullying has increased a lot over the past few years. Cyber Bullying can also lead to face to face matters and cause a even bigger situation that police may have to get involved to. Cyber Bullying may not be an actual illegal thing like drugs but law enforcement takes this issue very seriously. A Things we can do to help prevent Cyber Bullying is if you come across a disturbing post on social network report it or bring it to the persons attention that what they are doing can actually lead to a suicidal thought and police will end up getting involved. A The motivation of Cyber Bullying is sometimes out of anger, revenge or frustration. A 80% of teens use their cellphones as technology for Cyber Bullying CONCLUSION:

The difference between cyber bullying is different is because it can happen twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Some may be bullied when they are by themselves. There are many risks to cyber bullying, the worst one would be attempt of suicide because the victim might be confused and might not know how to ask for help. Usual they victim will turn to alcohol or drugs because they think that they can run away from their problems. In a report by the ABC News in 2006, a survey was conducted on 1500 students in the grades between 4-8 and gave the following findings.42% of the children had experienced some form of bullying while online. 35% of them had received threats while online.21percentage had received threatening and mean emails or other forms of messages. 58% of the kids admitted that they had received hurtful information while online while the most shocking statistic was that 58% of these kids did not tell any adult about the form of harassment they receive while online. This clearly shows that a very large number of teenagers are being involved in cyber bullying and their parents or teachers are not even aware.
