I am writing you in response to your concern regarding a market test of the new 6 oz. cups and multi-pack yogurt carriers that Clover Valley Dairy would like to introduce to our customers. The purpose of the research project will be to see if the new type of packaging for yogurt will be worth the change and if our consumers are accepting of the new change. It will tell us if our new six-cup carrier is effective or not. I feel the new type of carrier should be tested in non-competing areas. However, it should also be tested in our market as well as our competitor’s market. A key part in testing this new…
This investigation consists of testing the reaction between milk, food coloring, and dishwashing soap. Different kinds of milk were tested, depending on the amount of milk fat content. The investigation was based on 2 questions. Lab one’s problem statement, using only milk fat and food coloring was: How does food coloring react in different kinds of milk fat? The second lab’s problem statement, using milk fat, food coloring, and dishwashing soap was: What happens when detergent is added to different milk fats and food coloring? The expectation is that the milk with higher fat content will have a more dramatic reaction. If the milk has a higher fat content, then the reaction of food coloring and dishwashing detergent will be more dramatic because there are more molecules to interact with each other.…

I am a graduate from Glen Oaks Community College and I would love to continue my education with Glen Oaks and their Nursing Program. I am a very athletic person, therefore in my free time my activities include running, playing sports, coaching and being involved with my family. Working two jobs, one being a Nursing Assistant and Unit Technician at The Community Health Center of Branch County and the other doing in home care for an elderly patient, does make it difficult to find free time. With what little free time I do have I enjoy spending it with my family as they are very important to me. I try to make it a routine to visit with my grandmas to have lunch with them and to drive them around where ever is needed due to the fact that they both cannot drive. I am currently training to run a marathon in May. During softball season, I volunteer with the coaching staff at the Coldwater High School. My greatest satisfaction so far in life, is the fact that I am one of few to have graduated from a college with a degree within my family. I am proud to say that I have paid for me education with my hard work. I hope with the help of Glen Oaks Community College I can obtain a new satisfaction of becoming a nurse. It would be my dream come true.…

While in college, I plan on becoming involved outside the classroom. Collegiate Farm Bureau and FFA are groups that top my list. I also plan on earning my American FFA degree. After college, I plan on holding a position with an agricultural company before returning to…
I’m often asked the question: “What do you want to do in college?” or “What do you want to do after college?” and these often weary questions always lead back to the one question that I truly struggle with: Where do I see myself in the future? I've always been a worrying person and despite the “what-ifs” that cross my mind from time to time, I try to remember that there are certain things that I can control and many things that I simply can’t, like, whether or not I will see tomorrow.…

Food Science deals with every aspect of the food manufacturing process, combining scientific technology to the food…
Education is the most important quality to success. With education you can expand your knowledge and allow yourself to move forward and higher up in the socioeconomic system. Since I was a young girl I have always aspired to help others, in any way, shape or form. Being helpful and meaningful to others is something that I am very passionate about. To ensure that I follow through with my success and aspirations, I have decided that I will study Nursing at a four year university. I want to become a Registered Nurse with a Master’s of Science in Nursing, and eventually become a lactation consultant. Although it will take about six years, it will be worth it. I will have to start my freshman year taking General Ed courses based on the scores I receive on the universities’ placement tests. From there I will enroll in mostly Science courses, including Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, and Organic Chemistry, with a few Sociology and Psychology courses. After I understand the basics of the human body and how it functions, I will start taking courses to understand the effects on the human body in courses like Microbiology and Humanities. In my third and fourth years in college I will be studying the fundamentals of how to care for patients and explore the different situations nurses can work in. After I obtain my Bachelors of Science in Nursing, I would like to go to UC San Diego and work on getting my Masters in a specialization program that would allow me to specialize in lactation. This plan is perfect for me because it seems pretty straight forward and organized which will help me. A lactation consultant obtains several qualities and values that I obtain. They care a great deal about other people, they try to ensure that people are given the best they can have, and they are great teachers because of their experiences. My dream career is to be a lactation consultant and I will accomplish it no matter what complications or costs I run…
