Dale Earnhardt was a great nascar driver, he won many titles for winning all of his races. He has a quote that i think is very inspirational it is “ you win some, lose some, and wreck some. Second place is just the first place loser. You can’t let one bad moment spoil a bunch of good ones.” Dale Earnhardt was 49 years old when he was in his crash and pasted away. He was traveling 180 mph when his car was hit from behind, turned around and smashed his front end of his rascar into the big thick concrete wall. He was on his last lap to victory. He was cut free from his car and air flown to halifax Medical Center with his son Dale, Jr. by his side. He was pronounced dead at his arrival to the hospital. He was found in this car unconscious and …show more content…
without a pulse. He has spine damage that's why they thought he didn't have a pulse. He did not show any type of life, so the doctors pronounced him dead at 5:16 p.m that day after impact. The fact that dale passed away really had me upset because i've met him in person and talked to his and got to sit in his car with his while he drove it around the track a few times with me in it. To watch the daytona 500 now just still is not the same with dale, even though dale still has his son to keep his legend going. He was born on april 29th 1951 in north carolina. His death was on february 18th in daytona beach florida. Dale has 4 kids 2 boys named dale jr, and kerry then he has 2 girls named kelley and taylor. He was married 3 times his current wife before the death was teresa. But they started a new thing now there racers have to wear a neck protector, because of what happened to dale. The autopsy report shows that the deadly skull fracture circled the base of Earnhardt's skull, extending from the bottom of the skull to the sides. There was a significant amount of internal bleeding at the base of his brain. He had blood in his ears and mild brain swelling from the skull fracture. This also caused him his death not only the spinal injury. Dale was a great nascar driver and now his son follows in his footsteps. Dale was a good kid back in the day but he did drop out in the ninth grade to race full time and he worked as a mechanic. Dale was fifteen when he started to race. Dale started out as a rookie that’s when he got put into the hall of fame for rookies because he won over 200,000 his rookie year racing. Earnhardt joined Richard Childress' Chevrolet team in 1984. His career took off, beginning with five wins and a second Winston Cup Championship in 1986.
The next year saw Earnhardt's best results yet, as he won 11 races and a third championship title, finishing in the top five in 21 out of 29 races. Dale was loved by all nascar fans even if there favorite driver wasn't him they still loved him. He was known as the “the man in black” he was a man of honor and never let anyone tell him different he stood up for what he wanted just like he did with racing, everyone told him he was to young and he would get hurt but, dale didn't listen he wanted to do what he wanted and loved to do which was to race and be a mechanic. Even though he passed away about 15 years ago everyone still misses dale he was a fantastic driver and parent to his four kids. As for me being a huge race fan it’s still not the same with out dale racing in the nascar racing industry. Dale was my favorite driver and he always will be, i remember it like it was yesterday when i got to meet him in person and got to ride with him after his race he really inspired me and now that he is gone if i ever go to another race again i will not be able to ride in another race car. Most people think i am over exaggerating but meet dale changed my life he made me realize how fast
things can be taken from you.
