According the Oxford Dictionary, the definition of sport is “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment”. The first half of the definition relates to the physical movement aspects of a sport. Although not all dancers compete with the same level of seriousness; despite this, there are plenty of people who feel that dance is their life. But when it comes down to essentials of exercise, you do exert energy when you dance. While spending energy, you have to have some precise skills in being able to move your body. If you’ve ever been to a party or a gathering where there is dancing, you might notice that afterwards participants are tired or out of breath. It is a more interesting way of getting exercise. In addition, we all know that playing a sport is an exciting way to get your exercise. It is even more fun if you have a team that you enjoy to play with. In competitive dance,where you dance to get awards and to entertain the audience, you exert a lot of energy. You also need the ability to be able to dance and remember your dances.
