Sabrina Flores was born July 5th, 2007. She is a 10 year old who has a passion for dance. She has been dancing at MOBA Dance Academy since she was 3 years old. Her dance genres include ballet, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, pointe, hip-hop, but her favorite genres are tap and jazz. Mr. Jay Barrett and Mrs. Natalie Mossa-Wright have taught her so much and helped her grow as a dancer. While Sabrina competes at the regional and national level, winning numerous titles and special judges awards, the most memorable moment to date was being selected as the 2016 Ms. Petite Diamond Dancer at Kids for Kids New Jersey. Barb got inspired to start Barb’s Centre for Dance because of her love and passion for dance and children. Her life has changed because instead of teaching all of the classes herself, she now manages a staff of forty between two locations. Barb's mom inspired her because she always told her positive things. Back in summer of 2014 all of our friends were so excited for the new year. We were going to be in 8th grade, at the top of the food chain at our Junior High. One ballerina that has broken all of these barriers is New York City Ballet primary ballerina Misty Copeland. Misty, a black muscular and petite women has become known for emerging as a powerhouse and exceptional ballerina. Every year, the University of Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville has a Student Dance concert put on by the students apart of the university’s dance program. This organization is an extremely diverse, unique, and talented group of dancers. The dance concert had nine different pieces that were all different styles of dance.
