After learning the outcome of this case and the different things and strategies that the teacher is following such as:
Chunking the information, modifying the tasks as well as creating behavioral charts in order to encourage student to actively participate in class as well as producing and getting engage in the task, the student is not responding positively to any of the action plans, as well as to the strategies. Student needs constant attention and when she does not get it, she finds ways to get it, such as taking things away from others, irritating others by teasing them or telling on them.
This case is very challenging. The teacher is not getting the support that she needs and the student is not responding to the interventions. While reflecting on this case, it came to me that the best thing that we can do in cases like this, the school needs to be more imperative. We need to give the teacher more support, find ways to give the student more intervention programs. Perhaps designed an extended learning program for the student, not only for academic purposes but also to teach her how to make the correct choices and learning about rituals, routines and
