According to Module 5 Slides, DMIS stands for Database Management Information system. This system is a mechanism for entering data into data bases, used for accessing data from multiple databases, and makes all content of these databases practical. This type of system helps with decision making because it allows for the administrator to access all school information, examine educational trends, the school demographics, and teaching quality. For instance, the data could help the administrators redevelop programs, and reassess the way that finds are being utilized in the school and what programs may need more resources. When you become an administrator for a school, we first want to evaluate the current school climate and culture of the school.
