Data are the raw format of information, which when properly formatted can produce accurate, relevant, and timely information that is the key to making good decisions (Coronel, Morris, & Rob, pg. 5-6). The purpose of a database is to provide computer-based systems a way in which to store, manage, and retrieve data quickly (Coronel, Morris, & Rob, pg. 5). In order for a database to be truly functional, it must not only store large amounts of record, but also be able to access those records fast and efficiently. Coming to the universities, database management is the essential part where there are large number of departments, courses and students. Student database management model provides information on student’s course schedule and their basic information. Course schedule like their major and minor names, courses names, course id, instructor names, day, time, room number, credits per course and student details like student name, addresses, contact number, date of birth, student id. Before this data is stored is books and printed on paper. If there is a change in schedule or exam it would be difficult to reach about this to the students. The complexity of natural history collection information and similar information within the scope of biodiversity informatics poses significant challenges for effective long term stewardship of that information in electronic form. This paper discusses the principles of good relational database design, how to apply those principles in the practical implementation of databases, and examines how good database design is essential for long term stewardship of biodiversity information. Good design and implementation principles are illustrated with examples from the realm of biodiversity information, including an examination of the costs and benefits of different ways of storing hierarchical information in relational databases. This paper also discusses typical problems present in legacy data, how they are characteristic of efforts to handle complex information in simple databases, and methods for handling those data during data migration.…

I believe, though mature professional education can be obtained at undergraduate level, it can find its fullest expression only in the graduate years. I do not regard graduate study as a mere extension of undergraduate education or as an end in itself. I shall treat it as a stage to develop acumen under the careful guidance of an expert. By accoutering myself with knowledge of enduring value and by developing the ability to learn anew, I hope to carry out creative endeavor in future.…
