Introduction:
First of all, this (lengthy) document is not a mandatory part of this course. However, I wrote it with the course material, and my own experience of this course in mind. So I definitely think it’ll be useful. This document contains supplementary material intended to enhance and review the concepts, theories, techniques, and applications covered in Statistics – DGGB 6820 taught by Professor Hollwitz here at Fordham GBA. This document may also be useful for quick reference, review, or to approach the material differently. Although most (if not all) notation, definitions, and formulas will appear in your course work. It is not necessary to memorize them, instead this document serves to help you recognize formulas and help you understand the terms and statistical techniques. This introductory statistics course focuses on the application, analysis and interpretation of statistical techniques rather than the mathematical proof of their functionality. After all, we are neither mathematicians nor statisticians. However, knowing the basics will hopefully provide some insight to statistics techniques and analysis in general, as well as the potential to apply statistical techniques in your everyday life.
How to Use this Document:
