To begin with, Dave from Heartbeat by David Yoo changes his perception on himself after Sarah made fun of him for being skinny. This is palpable on page 25, lines 6-9, the passage states,“‘Oh my gosh...you are so skinny.’ She was visibly repulsed by my sunken chest as I stepped off the soccer...picture. ” It is logical to conclude that Dave’s perspective on himself changed since someone else told him he was skinny.
