Refugees cannot claim that their human rights are under attack to gain citizenship because there can be other alternatives to fix said problem, unless the host state allows the refugees citizenship. In the article, the author tries to convince the reader that immigration is not the answer and there are several alternatives rather than migrating, but for many people it can be the answer. For example, a country could become overpopulated and there could be a job shortage. If someone cannot find a job in their country they need to go elsewhere to provide for their family and to gain a living.
