David Parker Ray
1. Childhood

David Parker Ray was born on November 6, 1939 and died May 28, 2002. David was suspected to be a serial killer and well-known torture killer of many women, although no bodies were ever recovered. David was eventually discovered when many of his accomplices came forward with accusations regarding the murder of around eight women. On top of these known victims, police also believe that Ray may be responsible for the murders of up to sixty women near and around Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
Ray had a very disturbed and violent childhood. Many have speculated that this was the road that led him to his life of torture and murder. Ray resided with his grandparents. While still occasionally seeing his father, he was physically abused each and every time. While he was attending school he made very poor grade, and was often teased for being shy around females. Many of his educational downfalls were thought to be brought on by the passing of his Grandmother which split him and his sister up. David eventually graduated high school and spent much of his time participating in illicit drug use and a strong habit of consuming alcohol. He later enlisted in the military.

1. Ray’s Murders
Ray tortured and murdered all of the female victims in a homemade torture facility he named "toy box". The chamber contained many objects that he personally named and felt to be his friends. The contents of his friends consisted of chains, pliers, pulleys, clamps, whips, knives, chainsaws, hack saws, and other miscellaneous torture devices. These tools were the essence of his killing persona and allowed him to victimize women in and around Truth or Consequences for many years.
Within the devious, and dark room where so much pain had been ensued sex toys, torture implementation devices, and video and audio recording devices were recovered by the FBI. Although much of this is highly disturbing Ray also created his own diagrams showing how, and where to inflict the most

Within the week of his birth he was adopted by Nathan and Pearl Berkowitz. While growing up under their care he began to show some characteristics of his violent tendencies that were to come. Although his parents provided and loved him he was known his neighborhood for having a violent streak, he assaulted neighborhood kids for no apparent reason. He was hyperactive and very difficult for Pearl and Nat to control (Bardsely, n.d.). Then the tragedy that many wuld say pushed him further down his diluted path struck. Pearl had a recurrence of breast cancer in 1965 and 1967. The disease and chemo dissipated Pearl to a very meager state that was very difficult for David to handle. Then in the fall of 1967 Pearl died. It was at this time that the delusions began to take form in his mind.…

In 1953, the United States government began a top-secret CIA human experimentation program known by its code-name as Project MK-ULTRA. The available evidence shows that this program involved the use of numerous techniques to manipulate individual mental states and alter brain functions, including: the deceitful administration of drugs and other chemicals, isolation, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, verbal and sexual abuse, as well as various forms of torture. Kathleen Sullivan was a victim of this heinous program and she recounts the torment she endured in a poem. “Pain, isolation, deprivation. Torture, training, total isolation. In a dark, not black, soundless box made of metal. [He] poured his pain into me [via electrical torture]. I became the repository for his pain. Pain kills. I was alone in that box, no one to talk to, no one who cared. NO ONE. He was master of horrors. He cut the kitten open alive starting with its sweet tender stomach. It trusted him. It trusted him and he killed it. He said he was teaching me not to care. Then he put me in the box too small to stand in. I had to sit in it. One side open.…

    Joel the Ripper Rifkin

Joel David Rifkin, also known as “Joel the Ripper”, who was born on January 20, 1959 is a serial killer convicted of the murder of nine women. Although it is believed he killed as many as 17 drug addicted prostitutes, between 1989 and 1993 in New York City and Long Island. He is suspected by some to be responsible for some of the Long Island prostitutes whose remains were found in March and April 2011. In an April 2011 prison interview with Newsday, Rifkin denied having anything to do with the recently discovered remains. Rifkin often hired prostitutes in Brooklyn and Manhattan; he lived in East Meadow, a suburban town on Long Island. While viewing all the videos, reading books, viewing documentaries and newspaper articles on this man it is truly hard to pinpoint the exact type of killer he truly is; considering the many traits of a few different serial killer types he could fit. This person, I won’t even classify as a man could fit a few serial killer types; such as mission, but has so many characteristics of a hedonistic sexual sadist as well as power/control traits. He for the most part would have sex with most of his victims and then kill them, which were all prostitutes that would go undetected as missing for quite a while and he very well knew this information. He would make them comfortable, have sex with them and for most of the cases beat and strangle them and later dismember them and distribute their body parts. Although, in some cases he incased them in a trunk and dumped them but typically keeping to his usual dumping sites; some cases he used concrete and threw them in the East River never to be found. I consider him a mission killer because he targeted prostitutes with a random selection but mainly did it when his mother and sister were out of town which to me sounds planned to a certain degree. He has stated in many…

I imagine O’Brien pinning the other prisoners’ arms to the wall, and slowly driving nails that are the length of their feet into their wrists. When he finishes there, I look to see him nailing their ankles through the sides of their legs; one nail for two ankles. I can feel the torture watching them, as the blood is drawn out of their bodies. They scream in agony, and he stands there laughing at the pain they are forced to endure. He then proceeds to break every single bone in their body. They scream even more and their eyes widen at the torture. He makes me watch this part, telling me that I am his prize. His masterpiece, his work of art. That no other’s pain would he capture quite brilliantly as mine. I tremble, hoping that he would just do it already,, and I would no longer live in such agony. When every single bone in the body of the tortured had been broken, he draws a stick from his fire that is still gleaming with the red hot flames of it, and slowly applies it to their skin. They scream and he forces them to confess of the crimes they committed against the party as he burns them alive. He burns the skin off layer by layer watching it slowly filter away, until finally there is none left, and the only thing left to do with them is throw their bodies into the fire.…
