Hard to ensure all key players, stakeholders, and managers attend the meeting during such an early time of the newly integrated system’s life.…
This meeting was conducted successfully. The speaker listened to the suggestions given to him by the students and his peers. They agreed that most of the time students are not aware of the fact that are being evaluated on these SLOs. Their way of communication and explaining the key points was pretty impressive. As the majority of the committee members were head of their departments, so they talked on the implication of plans rather than putting efforts on making the new…
The meeting one hour before the event meant that the group was able to organise and iron out any flaws in the planning of the event. So we were able to look at any equipment problems and set up of any resources and tables etc, beforehand and make sure we were prepared for the learners to arrive.…
The meeting was opened with a moment of silence to reflect followed by the Serenity Prayer. This is intended to allow the meeting to begin with a unified intention by all members. The circle allows all members of the group to view each other directly and fosters a sense of equality, each member having the same value as the next. While the director is the official facilitator of the meeting, other senior members direct discussion that relate to their areas of responsibility. The hierarchy is established from the owner down to the newest staff member for purposes of chain of command and final decision making authority however, final decisions are not made until each member with information to share are given the opportunity to do so. An agenda is provided to each member of the group to allow for smooth transition between topics. Announcements of events, new residents, and other important points are shared at the beginning of the meeting. Explanations of these items are also shared for the benefit of new staff members and each is encouraged to ask questions to ensure all staff is fully informed. Any concerns are addressed in the moment and conversation was open and permitted each member to share in the discussion…
The stadium is well known for its hosting duties of the SEC baseball tournament, showcasing the top twelve teams in the Southeastern Conference. However, most Friday nights, the stadium is occupied by Hoover football fans and players. Once the band arrives, we line up and march into the stadium to our cadence. Marching begins right outside of the buses, continues into the stadium, and ends once we have reached the section of the stadium, which has been designated for the band, prior to the fans arrival. The band plays a few stand chants while the Buccanettes dance along. Once the clock strikes 10 minutes until the game, the band marches behind the visiting stands to line up for pregame. Pregame includes the entire band marching onto the field to a cadence, turning towards the audience, standing at attention, then playing the national anthem and alma matter. After these two songs are played the band will march into a new formation on the field that will allow the players to run through while the band plays the fight song. Buccanettes stand in front of the band doing our stand dance to this tune, the cheerleaders held a huge sign for the players to run through and the colorguard would run across the field with large Buccaneer flags. The audience’s reaction made the all the previous hours of getting ready worthwhile. The student section was filled with shakers, lettermen, and hundreds of students. The rest of the stadium was filled with fans from the community. After pregame, the band would march back to the stands to begin more stand chants. The band played tunes such as ESPN, sunshine, the fight song, word up, and many others. At the beginning of the second quarter we would again march out of the stadium where stretching would take place to warm up for the halftime show. The first thing…
Its 6am Saturday morning, the parking lot is vacant. Staring down the road you see a line of cars as they file in one after another. By 9 o’clock the sweet aroma of ribs, burgers and hot dogs permeate the air. Friends, families and strangers alike tremble in the anticipation of Game Day. Though there are hundreds of college football programs, there is no better game day experience than that of The University of Southern California Trojans.…
I have never been to a school board meeting before, so I am not entirely sure what to expect. I know it is an open meeting, so I am sure there will be several parents of students in the district as well as citizens of area that will be affected by decisions made by the school board. In terms of the agenda, the board will undoubtedly discuss future school functions and the associated budgets, as well as personnel matters. This is a policy-making meeting so I do not expect there to be much input from the audience other than possible questions or concerns. Hopefully the board will address the agenda in an efficient and time effective manor and all disputes will be put to rest.…

* Open and honest discussion between the teacher and the learners to allow individuals to highlight what they feel is important to the group. This leads towards everyone living with group decisions and refraining from articulating their own personal reservations outside that group.…
Mr. Jones role was making sure we had the facts correctly since he had the most experience in this field. After a couple of minutes it was clear who would speaker first she had the most energy, which we all agreed that it would be Ms. Kayla she would open the floor speaking on the members data information and the theory. Jasmine spoke up and stated that she wanted to speak on group structure, format, goals and outcome she made it clear that she would not be left out and she stated that she was excited and loved our group. It was agreed upon by the group that I would summaries the goals and outcome expected after the session and also answer the questions that was expressed upon us, since I was a people person and funny. In facilitating a group, we use a variety of techniques drawn from many theoretical models (Corey, G. & Corey, C. 2014). Our goal was to encourage the class to engage in conversation and ask…
Most conferences take place without the presence of the students whose progress is being discussed,[2] although there is evidence that their inclusion increases the productivity of the meetings.[3] The meetings are generally led by teachers who take a…
Just last year I got together with a few classmates of mine to start a new club called BMEs. The idea originated because many of the majors at my school already had clubs that helped their school and professional careers. I imagined bmes to have weekly meetings, a huge event every month, and lots of involment from my peers. As founderes our groups had to work twice as hard as any of the other engineering clubs. There were points I was dedicating whole nights even weekend long hours into making sure the club would be successful. After all of the preparation, we all felt confident that our club would take off. I vividly remember the evening of our first meeting. X people had showed up, it was detrimental; I’m sure not a single e board member was prepared to stare into an empty room. We kept up professionalism, and continued with the meeting as though the 40 chairs were filled. The following e board meeting consisted of a lot of disappointment and stress. I was glad to hear that no one was giving up and this gave me courage to motive the others. I talked about how it was clear that our efforts did not provide the results we were hoping for, but how that shouldn’t be our focus. I suggested we steer our conversation into what kinds our things made us unsuccessful and how we could improve among those. I explained to the group that our setback was not due to the lack of our work but rather how we were delivering it. From then on we spent more time on recruitment and marketing and less time trying to plan ahead too far in advance. I designed a poster and asked people to help hang it up. We used a similar design on the poster that I made to print tee-shirts and sell them cheaply. Other members set up tables and participated in the club fair which we increased our voice through campus. The main lesson learned was that creating chapter and calendars for 6…

Before we attended the class, I jotted down the activities that we are going to propose. I consulted my group mates if they will agree with the list. It was January 10, 2014 when we presented our 3 proposed activities. Our chosen activity was about health and fitness since we are selling cakes with less sugar. We have collaborated with another group to help us in pursuing the event. After discussing inside the class, we started our planning activity right away. I did not volunteer to be the team leader but I set off the planning in order not to waste our time. I solicited their ideas and what they want to happen. We exchanged thoughts and came up with good planning activity. We set the timetable and the contribution. Each member has their own assignment. Also, each of us shall recruit 5 persons.…
