Dc Hendrix Show Reflection
What is, "The DC Hendrix Experience?" It's more than just a show/podcast. The mission that I am aiming for with my new show is to motivate any of our youth to chase their dreams and do whatever it is you want to do. There will always be negative energy and haters along the way, but it is important to maintain the pattern of doing what you want and making yourself happy. Personal happiness is the key in life, and if you're living your life to make someone else happy, stop now.

I started my show to help promote other dreamers' work. Whether it's music, sports articles/shows, clothing lines, actors/actresses, etc. Any dreamers and positive energy individuals are welcome on my show. The main thing I will preach on my show continuously is remaining

You see it everywhere. On television, on the radio, hear it in music, everywhere. Just live life, and let life happen. We've all been through tough times, but we all make it through right? Life goes on. That's what the main focus on my show is. Spreading positive energy and keeping it flowing.

Along your journey to success, there will be haters and people that don't support you. Remember those people when you make it, and call them out on it. Use those people as your motivation to make your dreams a reality. I may not be the best radio personality in the world, but it makes me happy. I love learning about people's journeys in their career paths. It's all so motivating to me.

Every week, I have a topic/question of the night on the show. That inspiration comes from an event that I, "experienced," in the last week. Whether the topic came from watching a movie, hanging out with friends, going out to a party, going somewhere my children, etc. It's very easy for creative people to be inspired. I always get insight from various individuals via social media and give them a chance to express their opinion as well. It makes the show more enjoyable for me as well. It helps me connect with my listeners at a personal

Everyone in the world can testify to their trials and tribulations but they are exactly what morphs and shapes us into who we are. The weak succumb to the poison and destroy themselves, but the strong understand eventually that where you come from and what you have been through does not define you. It is an individual choice you make to lay down and die or stand up and make something of yourself. Kari Patterson understood that. Since she was a little girl, she represented hope for a better tomorrow. Continuous negative events in her life was like putting black food coloring in hydrogen peroxide. Tina Mabry’s one solid message to the world is, “there are always options when you think there are…

When it comes to my career path I have always wanted to work with children but as I got older I developed a great passion for music. Music has always been around me, my dad was a big music buff. Since my father’s passing I feel like I have a special connection to him when I sing and listen to music. I’ve always been shy when it came to singing in front of an audience until I began going to Bethune-Cookman University. While I was enrolled there I joined a band and was singing in a local lounge every weekend and I loved it! Once I moved back home and enrolled in Georgia State I felt it was time to break out of my shell and truly begin to perform.…

Mark Twain said, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Twain had the belief that people need to surround themselves with others who will encourage them to be their best. Those who belittle others who are in pursuit of something ambitious are not the kind of people who are pursuing their own passions and desires. Those are people that may never have received words of encouragement to set their feet down and run. Also, those who belittle others ambitions have not had someone to walk alongside them in life and speak greatness to them. They have not been around the great ones themselves. The small are missing something that they cannot see. The influence of people around us can encourage us to greatness or easily help us to believe we are inept at achieving something bigger than what we know.…

Everyone has a dream that they should work for to make them happy. That dream only comes true once someone puts in hard work and extraneous amounts of effort to achieve it. Once they achieve their dream, they start a new one. For many people my age, the dream may be college, a career path, or accomplishing something in the future they always have wanted to do. My dream is to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and be a member of the marching band. I know that not only will I have to work hard academically, I will have to practice my marching and always keep a positive attitude, even when the pressure is heavy to do well. The things I must always remember are to give my best, dream big, and “Full speed ahead, Don't give up the…

I had always heard the same thing, “Graduate from a good college and find a decent living, and you’ll be happy and successful.” Hah! What a capitalistic, factory-produced, mind-n(d)umbing fairy tale to tell impressionable children, I thought. Nope, I was smarter than that. I would be the one to take the road less traveled—to go against the grain and live my own life the way I wanted to. After barely graduating high school with a GED (or a GED equivalent actually…), I took off to LA to become a music-producer. I was going to be big. I learned the trade, worked inside multi-million dollar studios, and formed a band. I had it all figured out and I was going to show everybody that school was for fools. As with everything in life, this intoxicating success did not last. I began to feel something was missing. Here I was, living the dream that I had imagined for myself, and yet, I didn't feel much fulfillment.…

I found my passion for communicating a message visually, artistically, and creatively. Later, I received many requests for custom presentations from instructors and pastors for their class lectures and sermons. This was a valuable time for me as I was able to learn from each of my presentations, by building up my technical skills and understanding the visual communication. This also spurred my desire to learn filmmaking and video production.…

Reflection allows an individual to identify the reasons or purpose of understanding the outcome of a particular situation in depth in term of emotions on thought and feeling on the topic area. In addition, Reflection is something that we do implicitly as part of being human, underpinning our identities through a process of negotiation between our sense of self and our experiences of others (Demetriou, 2000, p.210). Therefore, I have implemented this quote in my professional and personal goals I wanted and have achieved thought-out the process of the module. The way my world was deep around me ultimately opened my eyes and brain to the endless possibilities I was told I’d never reach. However I know I can become the person I aspire to be and spread the positivity I want to spread all thanks to the world the I revolved…

The road to fame and fortune may be rocky and full of obstacles, but I’m sure I can endure them and get there step by step. I know opportunity is one of the components, but I will not let fate control my future. Some career guidelines I did in the past have made me decide that my dream must be my foundation for my life, and that my life would be, in the same way, a foundation for my dream. My motto will be “If perfection is possible, then simply being better is not enough”, and I will do my best to live up to these arduous standards I have set by doing better in school. I am taking courses that will improve my communication and social skills. After…
