Abstract
DC-AC inverter is a device that converts a direct current (DC) into an alternating current (AC). When there is no AC main power for applications in caravans, remote area and etc., this tool is very suitable to use. It mainly converts a DC source (like a car’s battery) to an AC source (230V) to use for power application like laptop, TV and so on. First it converts a DC voltage to an AC voltage then it boosts up the AC voltage to mains voltage level by using a transformer. In this laboratory experiment, an CMOS IC were used to function as a 50 Hz oscillator, along with the necessary transistors, resistors, capacitors and a transformer to form a 230V AC source from a 12V DC. The design process was taken through the several steps of calculations, computer simulation and verification. The circuit design was simulated by the Multisim software. The effects of circuit were studied during simulation and assembled circuit in real time. One of fact that has to be considered is energy consumption. In this circuit a CMOS IC has been used which has very low consumption. The ideal dc to ac inverter is the one can produce a perfect sin wave. Since it is complicated, here a simple circuit that produce a square wave is used.

DC to AC
The circuit diagram illustrated in figure (1a) is a DC to AC inverter drawn in Multisim program. The CMOS IC in this diagram produces a 50 Hz square wave for application use.
Figure (1a) Circuit diagram.
By supplying a 12V DC source to the circuit, a 230V AC was achieved and output signal measured by an oscilloscope as shown in Figure 1b.

Figure (1b).Input and output signals.
As figure (1b) shows the input signal is in red colour (12V DC) and output is in yellow (230V AC).

Structure:
The circuit consists of three main parts: A)

We believe that Ms Stark should not revise her recommendation regarding FPL. The HOLD recommendation seems to be the most appropriate. Our judgement assumes a dividend cut from FPL. However, this dividend cut would be a precise strategic choice rather than one dictated by financing difficulties. Specifically, the dividend cut will raise future growth, with little effect on the stock price.…

The engineering team built the circuit shown in figure 1. Keep in mind; use the minimal amount of wiring to avoid stray capacitance which generally happens at high frequency. We used a LN-741 with two dc power supplies and one ac power supply. The dc power supplies consisted of a positive power supply and a negative power supply set at 12V. Once the circuit were built the positive power supply was connected to the number 7 pin of the op-amp. The negative power supply was connected to the number 4 pin of the op-amp. It is very important that the circuit be wired correctly. We had our instructor verify the circuit was wired correctly. The ac power supply was set to approximately 10V and connected to the R1 resister. Secondly, we adjust the signal generator to 19kHz. Once the circuit was fully connected and working properly, we verified at…

The typical peak detector uses voltage amplifiers and a diode or an emitter follower to charge the hold capacitor, CH, unidirectional. The diode conducts positive half cycles, charging the capacitor to the peak voltage value. When the input waveform falls below the DC peak voltage value stored on the capacitor, the diode is reverse biased, blocking current flow from capacitor back to the source.…
