Aim
The aim of this lab is to determine the order of the reaction between Propanone and aqueous Iodine with respect to Iodine.

The difference in color was evident even to the naked eye – lower concentrations of I2 had a yellowish color akin to lemonade, while the higher concentrations tended towards a brownish-yellow.

Data Processing
Creation of Standard Calibration curve
By plotting Concentration of I2on the x-axis and Absorbance on the y-axis, a standard calibration curve for Iodine in solution can be created.
The margin of error in absorbance calculations is4.1% + 0.7% (from the graph) or 4.8%
