Adani Group, a leading Indian business conglomerate, with turnover in excess of USD 6 Billion, has interests in diverse fields such as Coal Mining & Trading, Power Generation & Transmission, Ports, SEZ, Real Estate, Agro Trading, Edible Oil, City Gas Distribution, Oil & Gas Exploration, Shipping, Logistics etc. The Group has three listed companies Adani Enterprises Ltd., Mundra Port & SEZ Ltd. and Adani Power Ltd.

The Group has an ambitious plan to set up 20,000 MW thermal power, 200 MMTPA coal mines and 200 MMTPA port facilities by 2020. Currently, the Group is setting up 16,500 MW of coal based thermal power capacity, developing 100 MW solar PV plant and constructing a largest coal import terminal at Mundra Port. By 2012 the Group will be handling 100 MMTPA coal imports at Mundra Port and will produce 10.8 MMTPA coal at Indonesia Mine. Recently, in Queensland, Australia, the Group has acquired one of the largest coal tenements and has also been declared as a Preferred Proponent for building and developing port at Dudgeon Point. Besides, the Group also secured a rail and port project in Indonesia for transporting minimum 35 MMTPA of coal (expandable to 60 MMTPA) on a 'take or pay ' basis with off-take rights for 60% of that quantity. Consequently the Group will invest USD 1.65 Billion in Indonesia for building rail,
