Isaiah Bradley's character in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" serves as a symbol of the historical and ongoing racial injustices faced by African Americans, particularly those who served in the American military during the world war. His experiences as an African American super soldier show us the systemic racism and marginalization that black soldiers have endured both during and after their service, with no recognition, respect, or rights. Bradley's experience shows the harsh reality of America's ongoing struggle with racial equality and the deep scars left by historical injustices. This parallel to real historical events in America regarding the black soldiers during World War II, emphasizes the importance of understanding Isaiah's perspective and the reasons behind his actions, beliefs, and not wanting…

Back in the day when the Civil War was just beginning, there were a lot of problems with our nation; slavery and war where a huge part of the problem. With this all happening, anything could change the way we live our lives into today’s world.…
Tim Burton is one of the most well known directors for his style of writing. He was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe, Dr. Seuss, and other famous children stories writers to make these kid movies, but add some kind of darkness to them somehow. In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the darkness is resembled by every snotty, spoiled brat learning their consequences. In Edward Scissorhands, the darkness is resembled by how Edward didn’t fit in to the perfect neighborhood. Tim Burton’s style of writing makes these stories some of the best in known history.…

Deadpool, a.k.a., “The Merc with the Mouth” was first drafted into the comic book scene when he was placed in The New Mutants #98 in February 1991. Deadpool is considered one of the most popular comic book anti-heroes of all time. Deadpool, whose true name is Wade Winston Wilson, was made subject to the Canadian Government’s “Department K,” whose main goal was to make living weapons out of people with “special abilities.” This Department K oversaw the Weapon X program. The Weapon X program’s main function was to take these already special people and further enhance their natural ability, typically without their consent. Deadpool willingly consented to Department K after learning that he had developed terminal cancer and received a promise of a cure. Department K immediately placed Deadpool in the Weapon X program and given the regenerative property that they had siphoned from Wolverine in years past. This came as a double-edged sword, however. The regenerative property was thought to simply accelerate any kind of healing factor the human body might have, primarily cell growth. This very property, however, also…
When we think of villains there are several that quickly come to mind. For Batman there is the Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor as his great revel, and Spider-Man fights the Green Goblin. Yet no other character is as complex as the X-Men's villain, Magneto. From they very beginning of the comic series there has not been a person that has crossed the line between hero and villain as much as Magneto. Even though he has helped and saved the X- men on several occasions. What still makes him the villain? Along with that, why is Wolverine a hero when he has a bad attitude and kills more people then Magneto?…

Most people have watched, or at least have heard about, the movie Deadpool, but not many people know much about the man behind the mask and his involvements with charities. Ryan Reynolds has proven to be an honest and comedic man, both in his professional and personal life. He is someone that many people know as a hilarious and fast-thinking actor with amazing one-liners. Although many people question the moral alignment of Deadpool, his actor is truly someone with positive intentions in life; Ryan Reynolds has consistently participated in charities along with his wife and he shows off plenty of familial love towards his kids.…
My first year of wrestling was in high school my junior year. I wrestled at Forbush High School in the 106/113 pound weight class throughout this winter sport. Before, I must admit that I did at many different times think that the sport of wrestling was the most dumb and homosexual sport ever. One of my friends came up to me a few months after and asked me what I thought about wrestling. I told him like I said to everyone else, “It’s the most homosexual sport ever created.” He said, “When you’re out there wrestling, you don’t think about it. I challenge you to come out this year and wrestle and tell me if you think about anything being homosexual out there.” I accepted his challenge. My first day of wrestling practice was pretty great; I got to learn some new moves. Shortly after a month had went by, we had our first match. I was the first one up. We shook hands and the referee blew the whistle; it was on then. He took the first shot. I sprawled. I snapped around him to put a half on him to break him down. After I broke him down, I maneuvered a cross face cradle on him to put him into a pinning position. I held it as tightly as I could, and shortly after, the referee’s hands slapped the mat to signal that the match was over. We went back and shook hands again and right then I realized that I had won my match when the referee raised my hand. It was the most incredible feeling in my life to win my first match in 38 seconds. I told myself that I was sticking with it; I wasn’t going to give up on this sport. Did I think about how homosexual it was? No, I went out there and did the best I could. My friend was right, you don’t think about those kinds of things when you’re wrestling. Most people tell me each and every day that wrestling isn’t a hard sport or that it’s a homosexual sport. Famous wrestlers are known to this very day for the history they’ve created and made throughout wrestling in their high school or college days.…
