Dealing With Adversity

Every man and female in the world will have some type of struggle and adversity’s in their life. Some peoples are bigger than other people. They can be very hard to get through and to deal with. They are the worst things you can have. I myself, Erik Weihenmayer, Richard Wright, and The Lost Boys Of Sudan, have adversity’s that are terrible to ourselves. For example, I even have a terrible adversity. Ever since I was younger, I suffered with bad anxiety. Which, makes nothing feel right or okay. It makes me overthink every little thing I think or do. Even the problems that are not that big of a deal make me freak out. The panic caused from anxiety has put me in the hospital a couple time. When, my anxiety starts to get bad my heart rate will
go up and suddenly goes down. One time, I had to go to the hospital because my heart rate went up to two hundred- fifty and then suddenly went down to thirty. It can be very hard to just live with my life with anxiety in the way. Erik Weihenmayer had a really complicated adversity that he turned good, Weihenmayer did something really huge, and that most sited people could do in their life.
Wehenmayer climbed Mount Everest.” Born legally blind and could only see shapes and shadows”. “Twenty five years later Erik Weihenmayer triumphantly stood atop Mount Everest…” (Shrieves 1). Although, the adversity was really hard as a child. He could not do the thing that most kids can do. “Blind since age thirteen the victim of a rare hereditary disease of the rectal he began attacking Mount Everest in his early twenties” (Greenfield 552). He could not see, so he decided to do something about his
adversity. Richard wright went to the grocery store to try to help his family.
When he was given money, tgese boys would still the money from him. They jumped him and robbed him. He was very hungry because his family does not have much money, and what they do have was stolen from him. “it’s what little boys get when their hungry.” (Wright 112). His mother had to explain to him what he was feeling because of his hunger after the boys took jumped Richard his mom wanted him to become strong, so she made him learn to stick up for himself. “I’m going to teach you to stick up for yourself up” (Wright 115). Which, doesn’t seem all that bad until it happened repeatedly. Those boys continued to jump him and hurt him
physically.
The Lost Boys Of Sudan had to go through lots of pain just to be safe.” 17,000 boys separated from families and fled Sudan in exocaus of biblical proportion after fighting interfered in 1918” (Corbert 555). They had no choice but to leave to stay safe from the dreadful war going on in Sudan. The boys were really scared when fleeing from their home. In the video, it talked about how much these boys had to suffer and the trauma they have now. The boys have a very hard time adapting to their new life they have (God Out Grew Us). Many boys died on while leaving from either hunger or thirst. Many boys even had to go extreme measures just to stay alive. “some boys stared off dehydrated by drinking their own urine, the boys went through so much just to be safe from the terrible war. We all have terrible adversities that are tough to get through. Some very hard and some not quite as hard. Many adversities we can overcome if we put our mind to it and don’t let it degrade us. They can make you feel like it the terrible and hurt. There is not one person in this world without any adversity because nobody’s life is perfect if they like it or not.
