Response to Letter 2
Dear No more confused or Used,
I admire your decision to refrain from any sexual activity until you are married; that way, you can avoid the many negative problems that are a result of it. The best way to tell your boyfriend that you want to be abstinent is upfront with no sugar-coating. By telling him directly how you feel, he should take you very seriously and respect your decision more than if he has to infer it from your implication; however, do not delve into the subject matter too quickly or else both of you will leave the conversation feeling awkward and confused. When things get romantic, there are other things to do than engage in sexual activity: you guys can watch a movie or do something else that will preoccupy and distract your mind. In order to control yourself, do not give in to your impulses and do something else in order to divert your attention; same with your boyfriend! Clarifying a point I made earlier, abstinence helps avoid negative and potentially life-threatening health issues: these issues include but are not limited to STI’s and emotional distress. If your boyfriend does not respect your decision to remain abstinent and consistently pressures you to have sex, then you know that it is time to leave him. A partner who truly loves and cares for you should respect your decision despite if he does not agree with it. I hope you and your boyfriend have a happy and continuous relationship.
Sincerely,
Pat

Screwtape Letters is a great book that is written from the vantage point of one demon writing to his demon nephew. This allows the reader to think in a different way than the normal Christian perspective. It shows the many ways Satan and his demons try to persuade people away from God. It is about the man's struggles to get past all of the trials Screwtape had set for him. It is one’s faith journey from the eyes of a demon. Screwtape is constantly trying to trick the man into believing something that is not true. As a Christian, it should give one an example of what not to do.…

She understands how hard it can be to make choices when you are going through big changes. She may also understand your feelings towards one another. I do not doubt the level of feelings and love your boyfriend has towards you but consider the age difference between you, he may be using his maturity to pressure you in to making a big decision you may regret. When making a big decision I advise you to remember the way you were raised and your own personal views about engaging in sexual activities. I want you to weigh your options an think hard about what you really want to so and why you want to do it, then I want you to do the same thing with your boyfriend. Another thing I want you to think about is the results and consequences of your decisions. If you choose to engage in sexual intercourse I want you to educate yourself and your boyfriend about the proper contraceptive methods (i.e. birth control and condoms) to avoid anything happening that you are not ready for such as becoming…

At the surface, the letter Lord Chesterfield writes to his son appears to simply offer his son simple sound advice with the intention to help his son. It seems that he is trying to give his son this advice in a friendly manner as opposed to a father giving his son advice. However, upon closer analysis of what Chesterfield writes, one can see how he is actually subtly reminding his son of his obligations and duties. Using strategies such as understatements, diction, and rhetorical questions, Chesterfield subtly leaves reminders to his son that shows what Chesterfield holds as high values: obedience and reputation.…

Not having sex may seem easy because it's not doing anything. On the contrary, peer pressure and things on TV and in the movies can make the decision to practice abstinence more difficult. If it seems like everybody else is having sex, some people may feel they have to do it too, just to be accepted. Don't let kidding or pressure from friends, a girlfriend, a boyfriend, or even the media push you into something that is not right for you. A couple can still have a relationship without having sex. I believe couples who wait have a more intimate and personal relationship with their significant…

Have you ever suffered from hunger? Have you ever experienced severe poverty? Today I’m going to tell you about the miserable story of one child living in developing country. It is about the special letter I received from a child who I’ve been supporting. As you see, this letter is just a simple drawing of a flower. Just a flower with small leaves on it. The flower is colored with red crayon and the leaves are painted untidily with green. But there’s no more than a flower. The letter is mostly filled with white blank space, and a sheet of paper is worn out by the dirty thumbs of a child. You may think that there’s no special thing about this letter. However, this letter is a very meaningful object to me, because it taught me the realities of the difficulties and adversity of the poor, and really touched my heart.…
