According to the American Cancer Society, “pain can be major problem with pancreatic cancer”. (Pain Control in Pancreatic Cancer section, para. 1) This type of cancer can cause immense pain. Many people who have this type of cancer or any other different terminal disease can lead to having the choice of ending their agony by choosing suicide. Another excruciating type of cancer would be leukemia. In the life story of Holly Berg, a Death with Dignity supporter, shares the life straining event she went through with her mother, who had leukemia. According to Holly Berg, her mother wanted to fight through the cancer and she did. The cancer then lead on to complicate her life and give her only a few days after the withdrawal of treatment. Her daughter stated she went through with 10 days of agonizing pain and passed on. Her daughter Holly Berg stated, “ I know that if she’d had the choice of Death with Dignity my mom would have chosen it for herself just as she made all the other decisions in her life” (Holly Berg: Right to Choose sec. para. 2). As in the situation of Holly Berg’s mother who went through so much, having the Death with Dignity Act set in place would have been a more peaceful way of passing on like her daughter mentioned she would have chosen
