As a Health Academy student at Coachella Valley High school, I am interested in a job shadowing opportunity with John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital. I have been preparing for this great opportunity since my sophomore year. I have experience working with people and would like to continue to do so in a volunteer capacity.
I volunteered at the Flying Doctors Health fair and enjoyed being able to take eye exams for people who aren’t medically insured. In this position, I gained skills at developing communications with the visitors. In addition, I managed to handle the eye machine very well. I am aware that John F. Kennedy provides costly machines that need to be handled with precautions and care. My experience will hopefully help me to pursue the machines at the Cath Lab.
Based on my resume, I have a strong knowledge of basic medical terminology, I am CPR certified, First Aid certified, as well CERT training certified. All of these named certifications are a great way to be prepared in case of an emergency. In addition, being bilingual in English and Spanish is important because I can translate whenever I’m needed.
If John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital has a need for a dedicated candidate, I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to assist.
