Everybody calls me young, beautiful, wonderful. Am I? Look at my hair, my lips, my red rosy cheeks and a pair of blinkering eyes.

I remember, somebody says that I look like my mother that I look like my mother. But that when she was young.

Now, I am much lovelier than she is. I’m a mortal Venus. Oops! What time is it? I must get ready for the party!

Beep-beep…!A-huh! Here they are! Yes, I’m coming!

"Child, are you still there?"

"Hmp! That’s my mama"

"Child, are you still there? Will you please get me a glass of cold water?"

"Mama, I’m in a hurry!"
A glass of cold water
"Please child, try to get me a glass of cold water."

"Mama, please, try to get it on your own."

"Please child, try to get me a glass of cold water!"

At the party, I danced and danced the whole night.

You see, I can’t leave the party at once. I have to danced with everybody who proposed to me. At last, the party is over. I’m very tired. Very, very tired.

So, I went home to tell mama what happened.

"Mama, I’m home! It’s very quiet. "Mama, I’m home!" Nobody answers.

Where is she? I look for her in the sala, but she’s not there. Where is she? A-huh! In the kitchen!

I saw my mama, lying down on the floor, dead. With a glass on her hand. I remember, she tried to get it.

Oh, God, just for the glass of cold water! Mama! Mama! Oh, Mama!

ANGELICA
Oh mama you're home! Is this a time for a teenager like you to be home? Why, it's only 10 o'clock. I had a wonderful time going around, eating, dancing, talking, you know, just to kill the time. How dare you talk to me like that! Surely your papa will learn about this. Papa? Did he ever ask about me? And you mama, I was surprised you're home. I thought you were busy with your social obligations. Why you! Oh, Aunt Marie, good evening! Nice to see you. Angelica it's late. You've been coming home late these past few days. Don't you know it's bad for a young girl like you to roam around the streets at this time? But Aunt Marie I enjoy it, and besides I have my friends with me. Angelica.. Okay okay, I'm sick and tired of all this! Yes I have everything I want, I wear beautiful clothes, I go to an exclusive school and I have all the money I want. But do you think it's enough? Do you think I'm satisfied with that? I need something. I need you mama, both you and papa. Remember when I got sick once? I was looking for you. But who was beside me, my yaya. And where were you? Busy with your social obligations! The cigarette, I need it! What cigarette are you talking about? Oh Angelica, don't tell me you're a drug addict! Yes! See what kind of friends you have! Don't blame them, they have nothing to do with this. Why not ask yourself, why blame others. You have time for other people, but for me mama, me, you don't have tome for me! I want to die! Angelica my dear don't say that please. But it's true auntie, maybe if I'm dead they will realize my feelings. Angelica I'm sorry, both me and your papa. It's not yet late, we will live a new life, I'll take you to the hospital. Thank you mama, thank you.

I don’t remember much about how my family died, I was just a three year old boy; Keenan Waren. All I can remember is it was Thanksgiving day with my whole family. I know it was this day because the smell of the turkey was burnt into my memory, and it’s also what the people at the orphanage told me as I was growing up. Something else I can recall is seeing a tall, bulky shadow holding a green flame in his hand after the lights shut off. Everyone was screaming, but I am still unsure of what was happening to them. My mom carried me out into the rainy night in front of the house in my carseat, and I was crying for the teddy bear my aunt gave me for my first birthday. I kept crying, so my mom covered me with blanket and ran back inside to grab it…
