Deepest Fear
My deepest fear is fear within itself. In life there is no failure but only feedback.
Being presented with different obstacles and making sufficient decisions in my life's path, has made me who i am today. As a child, my family always taught me that I must perform to the best of my abilities as a person in order to succeed in whatever I pursue in life.
As a child growing up in Clinton Public School Districts wasn’t such a walk in the park because success was the only option and the key to your future. It took me a while to understand everything I was brought up against as a student there but it made me learn a great deal about the diversity of cultures and how others may perceive the world differently than I would. It made me understand the concept when it came to things I can manage, with others that I cannot. Being a student at Clinton High made me realize that I could do anything to my fullest potential if I put forth effort. I had also overcame the feeling of being unloved, abused and mistreated by someone I thought cared tremendously about me.
I received many awards and recognitions throughout my school years such as hardworking, dedication, good Spirit, track Awards and many more. I participated in the choir, track, basketball, the Spanish club, pure guidance club, FCA (fellowship with Christians Association), help serve at the stewpot and many more. On May 25, 2012 not only did I overcome my fear of failure and doubt but I proved everyone one whoever went up against me wrong. This was the day that I rejoiced because I graduated from Clinton High School with a clean record, no baby and an acceptance letter to one of the top African American Schools in the state of Mississippi, Jackson State University. I believe majoring in Computer Science will be a great experience because I love computers and technology is my greatest strength. It will better me when it comes to dealing with things hands-on and challenge my thinking process even more. I believe

An example of being afraid of failure is in lines 10-20, “...In which people thereof, respectively, shall then be in rebellion against the United States”. Abraham Lincoln has 100 days to free the slaves but he is afraid that he will fail and he was also afraid that the people would rebellion against the United States. How this relates to me is that we both are trying to be successful for the present but also the future. However, we are afraid of failing and that will bring many bad consequences to our life.…

For my entire life of schooling, both my parents and I would agree that I constantly complained about the educational systems in which I was enrolled. But when I actually take the time to think about everything I have been through, I realize that I have indeed had an excellent education. My schooling was full of opportunities and experiences, all of which contributed to the person I am today; adequate education has been an indispensable facet of my being. Sadly, not everyone has had this same privilege. And now as a college student, I am becoming even more aware of this sad fact. Looking around me in such a diverse city as Chicago, I find myself being more and more grateful. When I read Jonathan Kozol's Fremont High School, this these feelings were even more reassured.…

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”Nelson Mandela, whom was the President of Africa once stated. Fair Lawn High school wasn’t your average high school. There were a large variety of students that made the school diverse, people who slept and could care less, and the ones who truly wanted to be at school. Throughout my thirteen years in the Fair Lawn education system, I stumbled upon a few small things that altered the way I would forever think about education and about life as a whole. To start, I believe that Fair Lawn school taught me more about acceptance then I could ever learn elsewhere . In addition to that, I also strongly credit Fair Lawn, they taught me a lot about patience. They taught me both positive and negative attributes. As a girl growing up in Moreno Valley, California, it was not easy overcoming the challenges I faced. Being raised in the “worst part” of town, meant I was destined to be nothing in life. For me, the fear of nonperformance, the fear of failure, the fear of not living up to expectations (my own, more than anyone else's) is what I consider to be my biggest in life. I can attribute a lot of my personality traits and obsessive behaviors to this fear. It may be a convenient excuse, but without any other valid or obvious reasons, I would like to apportion a significant part of the blame to this fear!…

Life is a series of choices, and whatever you choose will affect your life. It can be a small choice like when we decide our direction and it will lead you to the destination, or it can be a bigger choice that can cause a huge event in your life. I want to tell a story about my best friend, Huy who told me that trying, practicing and learning are the keys that can open your door to success. He was just like other people, by having a bad choice, so he made a big mistake six years ago in his life that he could never forget and it also became a good lesson for him to learn how to cope with life obstacles.…
